    Default 50NL AA against Fish with nasty flop

    Heyas,

    This hand came up today villan was active VPIP 45% but didnt raise much. I noticed they couldnt lay a hand down even to big raises. Hes called with suited connectors, pp's and high cards. As you can see i raised enough to isolate ( I knew he'd call) but to my horror saw the flop and the 1/2 pot size bet.

    Whats the chance im good here? I told myself when he called the raise id play for stacks here but I just couldnt bring myself to do it. Is this weak here?

    I was thinking PP KK-JJ or any combination of suited cards just got 2 pair/trips and his bet to me screamed "raise me please im going to take your stack! Even if I called here what card on the turn is going to help me out here? Should I just have shoved?

    Thanks in advance:

    I think you can go either way with this. It's not a weak fold, but I'd rather Raise it up and see what happens from there. I'd make it 25. If he pushes, I toss. If he calls I'll re-evaluate on the turn.
    My sig is too much for you to handle.

    No matter what you do, you're +EV on the hand since you raised so much pre flop. The trick is to minimize the loss and maximize the gain post flop so you have the biggest +EV.

    Do you know his flop aggression frequency and pre flop raise stats? I might call and try for cheap showdown, would rarely raise (do worse hands call a raise, or is it purely for "info?"). Folding is ok too, and likely the best of the three (just noticed he raised pre flop). I'd look at his aggression stats before doing anything though.

    Don't do this. If you put 70% of your stack in the pot and then fold you probably played it wrong.

    Retro69,

    This is a very easy fold.

    you only beat ak

    you are crushed by JJ, QQ, KK

    TT has a big redraw.

    TT+JJ+QQ+KK= 24 possible holdings

    AK= 8 possible holdings

    you are 3:1 here which makes this a clear fold.

    Without the reads on his post flop aggression, I would go with the preflop reraise as a good indicator of a high PPs, especially KK or QQ. In which case, I fold up like a cheap suit on this hand. All in all, just a damn lousy flop for you.
