i havent played at party for a while but do the poorer players tend to minraise the flop with a set/two pair etc or do they wait till the turn?
With that info it helps, but yah id put him all in here, or else i might have just checked the turn to push it all in over opps bet.

most players on party check/call flop check minraise turn with sets oop

I don't see how you could possibly be winning... another overpair would've raised PF/raised the flop. Everything just screams a set of 5's or 6's.

I think you have to fold to the miniraise. I just dont see us winning here.

So you are saying fold to the turn raise where I am getting like 5:1. Theres not even a 20% chance I am up against TT-KK here?

Yah, but that's one of those, this decision right here only costs me 60 getting 5:1 and ill be getting even BETTER odds to make the same mistake on the river!

So, by putting him all in on the turn I am get 103/311 or roughly 3:1 on my bet. We're both pot committed so if he has an overpair I am stacking him at this point.

3:1 isn't enough to stack off with AA on a 9 high flop against an unknown?

you are in a better position than i am to guage the general 200nl whatever site player these days... but im pretty sure an overpair with position is raising that flop, no waiting til another brick turn and more action at them.

but i dont think getting it in is a bad move.

Its REALLY hard to fold AA in these soft party games because you are good all too often.

I personally didn't look at what sort of odds we were looking at here. I also didn't see that you were playing on Party.

I've been playing on Stars for so long that I'm VERY rarely ahead here. On party, people play TPTK for stacks all day long. I suppose it isn't terrible then.

On the flop, our opponent flat called with another player to act. Hence, I'm more inclined to give him credit for a big hand here.

Personally, I'd like to see discussion on the merits of betting this turn before we consider what to do once it's bet.

    List of Merits

    1. Its a fairly draw heavy board, so bet to cut off odds.
    2. I am not confident enough in my hand to check raise this turn.
    3. I don't miss value from hands that may not bet after me, like 9x/TT/JJ.
    4. I avoid being bluffed off my hand by a turn push after I have shown weakness.

    Huh? You mean river push?

Seriously, if you check that turn behind, what range of hands bets the river? Pushes the river? How often?

I only like this turn bet if you know what you're doing when raised with few reservations.
