Default When do you ever throw AA away on the flop?

I don't know if I played this right. On a flop like this I assume he was drawing. But laying down AA here? Would you do it?

    raise more preflop

3-bet on the flop tells you AA no good. As these limits a flush draw call your bet most often and passvly chases.
Be careful when small stakes players raise your bets, it normally means they can beat what you are repping.

a little town called none of your goddamn business
call the minreraise on the flop and check and reevaluate the turn, which in this case would have been an easy reevaluation.

If you are putting in a 4th bet on the flop, dont leave $1.60 behind, with the limpers you should raise a little more preflop. I agree with what the others have said.

MP3 was solid and tight, he only showed down premium hands from what I had seen and usually made pot sized or 1/2 pot bets. I had about 100 hands on him. And I had yet to see him pull something like this.

I was certain I was behind.

I don't get your fold Tony. If he is solid and doesn't overbet the pot normally, why would he with something as monstrous as a boat/quads? Wouldn't he try to keep you in the hand?

That was my thinking too, I had a note on him that he was a set hunter and raised big when he was bet into.

I am not a fan of calling an all in with only an overpair, especially against a guy that I had pegged as a rock. I think that I can find a much better spot to get my money in.

I just can't see him doing this without 88 or 3x.

Is folding this a leak? All I have here is an overpair.

    Thanks

I would just call here with 88 or a 3.... You bet the pot so you are showing you like your hand. I put him on TT-QQ. Maybe he was trying to "trap" you with KK by just calling with position? I just don't see how a boat would play so huge, and would he call your pf raise with a 3? I would call his allin.

I must have played with him before I had PT because of the note, as I didn't have any hands in PT with him having a set.

25NL, preflop raiser pots the flop, rock wakes up and pushes all in.

He's not protecting against a flush or straight draw.

I know I need a very specific read to put him on 88 but with my notes and the way he woke up out of nowhere, I just think I can find a better spot.

It's spots like this that I am having trouble with. Getting beyond set farming.

    Thanks
    Tony
