    Default Very interesting river card.

How much do I bet on the river? I don't think my opponent is aggressive enough to bluff the river, so I don't think checking is an option.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    saw flop|saw showdown

    UTG ($239.45)
    MP ($307.90)
    Button ($341.95)
    Hero ($461.15)
    BB ($72.20)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 8.
UTG calls $4, 2 folds, Hero raises to $16, 1 fold, UTG calls $12.

    Flop: ($36) 8, 7, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $24, UTG calls $24.

    Turn: ($84) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $24, UTG calls $24.

    River: ($132) 6 (2 players)

Why did you bet so small on the turn?

If you pegged him as a player not aggressive enough to bet the river when you check to him why would you make a smallish bet to induce a raise?

Because players with flushes raise. And I didn't want to price him out if he had a straight draw.

Yeah, bet more with that obvious straight flushdraw out there

I like a 60$ bet to get a call of a high diamond. Any boat will raise anyway I guess.

Ok, I probably should've bet more, but I thought the river was the most interesting street in this hand.

If you think he has a flush then you should be pounding the pot, he isn't folding, if you bet like $60 on the turn and he raises all of a sudden he is pot committed.

I would make a blocking bet on the river and hope he tries to bluff me off it or raises with the Ad / boat.

As played I bet $99 on the river. Personally I would have bet more like $40 on the turn - get a little more money in if he's drawing, while still inducing a raise from a flush or a bluff. If you bet $40 and he flat calls again, then I'd bet $130 on the river - so many hands will pay you there and you should definitely make all of them pay.

I'd fire a healthy second barrell on the turn, around 60-65. If he has A7 and wants to call you down, that turn card is not much of a scare card to him, so he probably will not fold. And if he has a flush, you will still get raised. On the river as played, I'd just bet out 80-100 or so.
