    Default 12,000 Hands Checkup - $1/2 NL 6-max

I'm reaching the 12k mark and I have some interesting stats.

I'll post my stats and a few interesting facts. I'll also post a picture of my pokertracker. Let me know what you think of the numbers, etc. I'm fairly new to Pokertracker.

In my honest opinion, I've been crushing this limit for the last 2 months, and I don't plan on moving up or down anytime soon.

I originally started playing this limit with a vastly under-bankrolled $600. I turned that into $4100 fairly fast. I then decided to bump up to $2/4 NL 6-max, and I hit some turbulence. Mostly bad beats from big hands, and a few bad plays, I lost $1500 quickly. This brought me back to about $2600. I then cashed out $2000 to save for college and moving expenses for when I move to California in 2 months. I decided to take a few days break and move back down to a limit I knew I could beat, $1/2. I took my $600 (under-bankrolled I know), and it's up to $2500 now. I'm playing a very comfortable game and feel no pressures or tilts when losing, and winning seems to come natural at this point.

You should play more, 12k hands in 2 months is nothing. What is your multitable(MT) ratio?

Nice winrate, I guess that you are running fairly good over this sample though.

    LOL ya I think this

    Won $ WSF % - 44.36

... is a tad high. Expect this to go down to the thirtysomething range eventually.

Sometimes you get AA in the BB and everyone including SB folds to you.

you are running good and it is not sustainable.

when you do start running bad, play much less hands from the blinds, because its costing you

What do these numbers mean? How come I have all losses when it comes to blinds? Should I just stop playing them unless I have ultra-premium hands?

Any other input is greatly appreciated, and I'm thankful for the comments already inputted. Thanks guys, you rock.

Yeah you win a lot more than normal odds would suggest when you see a flop.. normally it'd be like 1/3 but you're closer to 1/2. I think this means that overall the cards have been good to you. You can expect there to be periods where you win less than 1/3 of the flops you see, hope you can cope with those. Btw, I wouldn't change much if anything.. grind on! In the grand scheme of things, this pays for when the cards are not so nice for you over a longer stretch.

How come I have all losses when it comes to blinds?
afaik this is normal.. you lose money there in the long run because you are forced to pay the blinds.. can't really avoid that, lol.. just minimize it. Your VP$IP from the SB seems a tad high though. But others are probably a lot more qualified than me to draw conclusions from that.

You don't seem to be varying your range due to position. You could probably stand to play a lot more hands from the button, and a lot less from UTG and HJ.

First thing I noticed is you have received AA & QQ about 14% more often than you will in the long run and you are hitting sets at 10% better rate than normal. . . which is nice. You are running good, but there is nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't take anymore money off the table as you may hit a downswing. I also think you should tighten up your requirements to raise/call in EP. This will also bring you V$IP down, which will be helpful over the long run, unless you have great post-flop skills.

And don't listen to them, it took me 3 months to play 12K hands. I am still a winning player. I'm not 12BB/100, though. Keep it up.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Depends on the number of tables you play at a time.....but yeah, 10-12k could be cake for me if I had any sort of volition.

I typically play 2-3 tables at a time. Anymore tables and my reads go down the drain, and that's 25-30% of my game playing 6-max.

I definitely understand what you're saying. Trust me, I totally do. A few things, though.

    1) You are running super-duper hot right now. I so hope it continues, but I really don't think 12ptbb/100 is sustainable over 40-200k hands. I seriously, seriously hope you can prove me wrong, that would be awesome.

    2) You play a much different game than I do.....You are 29/13, while I am more in the 20/10 range........but for me, more tables = more money. I used to be in the same camp as you. "I can't play more than two tables because my reads go to shit and I just don't see how I can play more tables." I used to say that all the freaking time. Slowly, but surely, I started becoming more "okay" with playing more tables...And now I'm bored without playing at least 4-tables, and have dabbled a little bit with playing 5-6. And to top it off, my win-rate hasn't changed a bit.......actually, it has, it's gone *UP*, to where over the last 15k hands I've run about 6.2ptbb/100.

That said I am only making about the same money as you playing 4-tables as you do 2-tables.......but still.

My advice? Try to work another table or two into the mix and your profits will soar.......and realize you're running HOT right now, I mean, it seems that way......so when you start to dip back down to 5-8ptbb/100, or worse, please know that your game is still VERY solid.

    GL at the tables.
