easy fold, its an unknown, its his first hand, and there is nothing you beat here except a bluff. the flop and turn make me think he has the nut flush or AhJx.

Because a LOT of worse hands will call. Checking the river w/o a read is throwing away money.

what worse hands are still worse than yours on the river that will still call a bet?
    odd two pairs?
    worse flushes?

Push the river on the first hand, as played call. Why are you putting in $40 of your stack and then thinking about folding? His river raise isnt even a full bet, we are calling like $19 to win an $81 pot. We could be against a boat, but for these odds we should win enough to make it profitable [lower flush, QJ, JT, JX, etc]. But really you should just push this river given your stack size.

Also, you didnt post any reads. If we were deeper stacked [both had 200BB+] then they would become very important, you have won some pots at this table so you have probably been there long enough to get some reads as the villain certainly isnt new to the table unless he came and stacked somebody in one hand.

Also, I know you dont really want any advice on the other hand, but it brings up a big issue that Im sure affects your winrate [this hand is a prime example]. If you are playing so many tables that you are timing out, even once [especially with such a strong hand] then you are giving up money because of giving up hands and reads. Play less tables.

Axh, Jx, Kx, straight, pretty much any pair if the guy is bad enough. But if you check, he probably doesn't bet a lot of his range.

Hand 1 I call because he could have Jx or be bluffing a missed flush and I have alot of money in and I don't like to fold.

Hand 2 is a bad fold. You should have called because he could have a 5. Also in hand 1 if you had improved to a royal flush you would have won.

Weeee - thx for the responses. I guess I have to call even though I"m beat here like 90% of the time? I went on MASSIVE tilt after these hands and played higher stakes and burned through like 25% of my roll. But anyways back to grinding today. Here's a hand from today's session that cheered me up.

You seem to have a habit of leaving yourself such a tiny portion of your stack on the river. In the first hand you should just be pushing instead of leaving less than a full bet in your stack because you cant fold. I wouldnt be too happy with the hand you just posted because your raise left yourself almost nothing, pay more attention to your stack size when making your bets and raises.

Thanks for noticing that. I usually just look at the pot size and my opponents stacks when deciding how much to bet. I will make a habit of looking at mine too in the future. The reason I was happy about the hand that I posted is because I managed to miss my draw and still win the hand which was funny to me, maybe not you guys.
