    Default Misplayed Trips?

First, let me say I am a noob. I've only been playing for less than a month and I've played fewer than 2,000 hands so far. I'm taking my time and trying to learn.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP ($4.67)
    Button ($5.23)
    Hero ($2.73)
    BB ($5.99)
    UTG ($5.12)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4, 4. Hero posts a blind of $0.02.
UTG calls $0.04, MP calls $0.04, 1 fold, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

    Flop: ($0.16) 6, T, J (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks.

    Turn: ($0.16) 4 (4 players)
Hero bets $0.04, BB calls $0.04, UTG calls $0.04, MP calls $0.04.

    River: ($0.32) 8 (4 players)
Hero bets $0.32, BB raises to $0.64, UTG folds, MP calls $0.64, Hero calls $0.32.

    Final Pot: $2.24

    Results in white below:
BB has 7s 5h (straight, eight high).
MP has Qc 9s (straight, queen high).
Hero has 4h 4d (three of a kind, fours).
    Outcome: MP wins $2.24.

    ----

I think I shold have made a bigger bet on the turn. Thoughts?
    - Thanks.

bet at least half of the pot on the turn, your opponent is getting great implied odds for a 4 cent call.

bet the turn harder, then add MP to your buddy list for not raising w/ the nuts.
