    Default A few hands

Here are a few hands from tonights session. They are all from 10NL. Any comments or advice on these hands?

Hand #1- Villian seems somewhat of a donkey, and was overbetting the pot quite a lot at my other table. Unfortunately he hadn't shown down any of these overbets yet.

I get dealt :Kh: :Jh: from the CO seat and raise to $0.40. Folds around to the big blind who calls.

    Flop comes :Qh:

BB leads out for $0.60 and I smooth call. This is a great flop for me and while I could raise in this position, I decided not to since I didn't feel I wouldn't get called by many hands.

    Turn is dealt

BB leads for $0.80 and I call again. After reflecting on this hand I felt that I should've raised the turn here. However at this point I do not believe he has the ace of hearts here, basically because I feel he would have checked the turn hoping for a free card.

    River is dealt

BB pushes all in for $6.45. Well not the best river card as I have just fallen behind a set. His bet scared the shit out of me and it took me a long time before I made up my mind.

    Hand #2
Villain has been playing tight passive for the time I was at the table. I had only been at the table 15 minutes however. Should I slow down in this spot?

2 limpers, SB completes and I check from the BB with :Ac:

    Flop is dealt :Jc: :Tc:

SB leads out for $0.40. I raise to $1.20. Everybody folds. My reasoning for making this play was that the way SB was playing I didn't think he would bet anything less than a pair of jacks here, and I'm pretty sure he would check/call a draw. Is there a better way to maximize value here?

    Hand#3

Villain has been playing very tight, and I have a good read on him that he overbets with strong hands and underbets with weak ones.

I'm UTG with and limp in. It's folded to the button who makes it $0.30 to go, SB calls, BB folds. I call as well.

    Flop comes out :Ac: :Qh:
SB checks. I check. Button bets $0.50. SB folds. I raise to $1.25. Button calls $0.75.

    Turn is dealt :Ah:
    I bet $1.50. Button calls.

    River is dealt :Jh:
I bet $2. Button raises all in for $5.95. Is there any way you can find a fold here? At this point I knew he had a strong hand, but with 4 hearts on the board does he make this bet with a flush as well?

way too passive in 1 and 3. Here's my advice...

#1 - BB is leading aggressively after you raised pre flop, and you call (keeping the pot small) with the 2nd nuts...WTF? Raise flop or turn substantially and hope he pushes, or at least you build the pot enough to make a callable push by the river. I suggest playing ABC TAG at 10nl, which means big pots with big hands, and especially before an action-killing card comes (ie 4th heart). Also, he sounds like the type that won't consider you have a strong hand. like, "I have Q2, blind stealing b'otch. all in."

#2 I like the raise. He probably would've called with a pair of jacks, and 3bet you with better. Building up the pot while he likes his hand (before a 4th club especially) is good. Min raising might be better if you think he'll 3bet that.

#3 I would lead out or check/raise closer to the pot size (in this case, c/r to around $2.5 or lead around $1). With this line, I would then check/push or push the turn as a pot size bet. As played, because your read says he'd probably have raised the turn if he had a boat, I would not fold, although it's kinda scary a good amount of his range has you beat on the river, he still could have AxKh or KxKh or random stuff like 6h7h since it's 10nl.
