Are you scared of the ??? Bet the turn and value the river if there is yet to be any aggression.

He led into you on the flop, where you showed strength. Continue through on the turn because you are strong. A lot of value can be gained from weaker aces.

You're the pre-flop raiser, you likely have an ace - if he did have a ten don't you think he'd just check-call or check-raise you? His bet looks like any ace - AK, AT and A8 beat you, you beat any other likely hand. At $10NL I'm definitely value betting here - maybe 40% of pot, something like that?

    bet 5

turn check is standard, hes drawing to zero outs or maybe 4 or otherwise has us smoked.
Checking behind here isnt awful either imo, if you think opp is capable of a river check raise.

Agree. No need to bet the turn and play an even bigger pot here. I might only raise to $3 on the flop... less than pot-sized I know, but he's still not getting correct odds for any draws.

b/c TPGK isn't a big pot hand and you can't put him squarely on a weaker ace.

I hate your play on the flop.

He calls pf and then lead/calls that flop. Looks like a strong hand...not worth playing for stacks with TPGK.

Although this is not a line for trips or more, I think it's fine to check behind the river. In order to value bet without a read, you're basically hoping for AJ or A9. Although, if you had AK, I would for sure value bet the river.

Fnord- what is your suggested line?

Easy call unless I think my opponent is retarded or knows I'm going to almost never raise his bet.

And if they lead the turn full pot again? I remember a hand I played at 50nl where they did that on this kind of board after I called the flop, so I called again, they pushed the river and I called and they showed TPWK and I won. Not sure how good that line is htough...

If they check I assume, it goes check behind, call river or possibly bet.

ha. seriously though...I hate these wa/wb spots facing big bets and little/no reads.

BTW, it's ok to min-raise a PSB. Really.

I would have thrown out a $4-$5 river bet, he's not checking the river after you just checked the turn if indeed he does have a ten, he would want to try to cash in on it and not just pray you bet the river so he could raise. It would have been his turn to value bet the river if he thought he was ahead, just my opinion. What did he have, Jacks-Kings or something? The flop raise was a little much I think, but nothing I should really be nit-picking I guess.
