Villain in this hand is a reg nit. When he calls my flop bet I know for sure he has a piece. Could be a set of 4s or a FD or Kx. Turn brings the flush, so I check behind. River boats me up. He then leads. To me this is either a flush trying to eek a little bit of value out of any Kx I might have, or better. I raise thinking he'll call with the flush. However, he shoved. Looking at the board and knowing his ranges (he has K4s like never), I am BEAT right?

Bet the turn, as played call the river. He has KQ, hearts here often enough. You really think he ONLY has QQ, KK and 44 in his range? If he has KK he would have raised the flop some percentage of the time and definitely would have with 44. QQ makes some sense I guess but he has Ahxh, KQ more than enough times to call considering your bizarre line.

Yeah I agree with Donachello. I'd bet the Turn after he checks it to me and believe there are other hands in his range (even given his nit-style) that you have covered. Sure, this will be a cooler situation every now & then, but tight players shove that river with hands other than KK, QQ, 44.

IMO he's telling you he has a flush with that river-shove a decent percentage of the time.

Yeah, we flopped a set. The 3rd flush card came on the turn. We then got a boat on the river.

We've already put in $7.95 and he's inviting us to put in the remaining $17.05.

We're beat some of the time but we have to call here.

Agreed with above, if he had KK or QQ he would raise you preflop. After hitting that river boat I would call.

This is definitely a snap call. KK/QQ very likely 3b preflop, so he likely doesn't have these.

The only hand we're really worried about could make sense is quad 4's (1 combo). If he puts you on 4x, he may even be jamming A4 or a flush here.

He's not shoving a flush here, he either beats a flush or expects us to fold a flush.

I'm calling, obviously. But I'm bluff catching, because I don't expect to see a flush or worse boat here. Maybe nut flush, but that would assume villain has reason to think hero is calling worse flushes, rather than just defaulting to hero = fish.
