If you think getting all in with the nuts can be a "bad play" (in holdem anyways), quit poker right now.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

If you put all your money in while you're significantly ahead, and you lose, by definition, that's a bad beat. Be happy you played it well and put this guy on your buddy list.

4 handed out of position I don't bet that flop

Once you make the straight on the turn you are ahead so getting all the money in is always a good thing 3 handed with the draw out there

that is actually my question, I bet the flop out of position to increase the pot by the guy who has an A. if the turn hits I am playing strong, and no one suspects it. If it does not I just check, see what he bets, and if the odds are good I call. also I find myself with everyone folding ahead of me, and I win the pot uncontested. so is that a good play or a bad play?

Betting the flop sucks. If you miss your draw you're in a shitty spot on the turn. Check and try to draw cheaply. Other than that, its a bad beat.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

I dont mind betting the pot on the flop. If you take down the pot right there more power to ya. If you get callers its much easier to get it all-in in the bigger pot when/if you hit your draw. Your OESD is fairly hidden.

I don't like the bet because it's a 4-way pot.. and rest is good, you got rivered that's all.
