    Default Blind war

Op is 13.5/5/1.61 over 626 hands. I don't recall much of a history with op. I'm playing 16/7 with obv steals on button, sb, etc.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($111.40)
    BB ($199.21)
    UTG ($37.47)
    UTG+1 ($70.93)
    MP1 ($72.40)
    MP2 ($51.58)
    CO ($96.50)
    Button ($95)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, K. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
6 folds, Hero (poster) raises to $3.5, BB calls $3.

    Flop: ($8) 5, Q, T (2 players)
Hero bets $7, BB calls $7.

    Turn: ($22) 8 (2 players)
    Hero bets $12, BB calls $188.21 (All-In), Hero ???

I'm asking for advice because this isn't your normal postflop hand. Would anyone ever find a reason to call this?

He's trying to make a strange bet so you call his J9. No way I call this.

    good fold.

just make a little note of it and call him a name in your note. if he does it a few more times then it might be ok to call.. his stats make it an easy fold.

    13.5/5/1.61 is almost always a multi-tabler.

Raising this to only $3 with a wide range will get him to fold a lot in relative peace (he's got bigger fish to fry on other tables.) It also builds a smaller pot when he does defend. There is a good reason in real heads-up poker the button is on the small blind. By acting last on every betting round you're at a huge disadvantage that's hard to make up. Raising bigger than you need to get him to fold trash just makes your life harder.

Well here's why I posted it. Something didn't feel right about his all in. I know a 75/40/10 will do something like this when he turns his flush/str8, etc because I see them do it a lot. I thought for awhile, said my gut says he's got nothing, and actually for once decided to call instead of taking the safe route. The river is a 2 and he flips over a missed AJ and I take it down.

While I'm glad I trusted my read, I think this might not be a usual call to make and will probably make me lose in the long run by players who overbet.

Nice, gutsy call. It definitely looks suspicious like he just wants the pot now and telling you to get the hell out, and I would need a pretty damn solid read to make that call.
