I think I'd check here given that card and you have the 7c. If you had two red sevens and the turn was an offsuit duece I'd definitely bet.

I actually like the bet. I ASSume that the SB's range is wide when he opens from the SB and follows through on the flop.

It obviously sucks to get raised here, but you have to think that you're significantly ahead of his range, and there are a lot of worse hands he can call with. If you get raised off your 1-card OESD on a monotone board, it's not a very big deal.

My hand beats a bluff and has outs against just about everything.

The line to beat is check planning to call most river cards/bets.

I like both plays. Checking and keeping the pot small makes it easier for you to call a small bet on the river but, if you can take it down right now I will.

What I'd be worried about is a flat call then a pot sized bet if the 4 flush doesnt come in.

just depends on your current image and what image you're trying to create, if any. if you haven't been dishing out whuppass and don't expect to get played back at, it's fine. if you have been particularly active, it's a fine spot to see the river. either way i don't think the turn bet sucks.
In answer to your question... it depends...
