JJ hand

I'm a SnG player so I'm kinda new to cash games and have a lot to learn...During a session I build up my stacks slowly only to have some big hand lose all the previous winnings, so I'm trying to learn when to fold.
No reads on villain, hows my line?

He's most likely not drawing so you are probably WA/WB. I think you are beat here more often than not. Fold. If the board was more draw-heavy then leading the turn and folding to a raise wouldn't be bad.

martin that advice imo is too tight. This guy could be the typical 50/16 at those stakes. his play looks like a T, and it could be even worse, i push the turn.

i don't like threebetting the flop here. We don't want to scare a ten away, considering that is the hand that is giving us the most value in this scenario.

I actually folded this hand..like I said in my intro I always get stacked in these situations by QQ-KK-AA, sets, etc..

How the hell can you put these 25NL guys on ranges? They can go broke with TPTK, they call huge bets with 2nd pair only or draws. Is this a situation where you would go broke more often then not, assuming it is NL25?

Make sure you know what you are looking for when entering the pot. When called when holding JJ, QQ, AK or SC, that's decision time, about what you want from a flop and what are you going to do. You need to decide alot more before getting to the turn at $25NL. There are plenty of ways to play this hand but youneed to know what villians range is, how the flop texture looks to what you hold and his range and his stats. It'll make a difference in your decisions.

do you agree that we are wa/wb here? i think you are exaggerating a bit too much in saying that 50/16 is typical at 25nl. i think a T is a very small part of his range. since we are wa/wb a call is far better than a push imo since we can't be too sure that a T comes along for the ride a majority of the time.

Make it $1.50-1.75 preflop, and 80-100% of the pot on the flop. Your overpair is good way too much, and your weak $1 bet is begging to get raised. Plus, you get more information from a player raising a big bet than from a small one.
