Default Hilton sister overpair facing strong riverbet.

My first hand at the table so no read whatsoever, unfortunately.

I check behind on the turn as I don't want to scare away hands that might fold a turn bet that might also lead on the river. I was also quite aware of the paired T on the flop and the flat call.

This brings the desired river result - kind of - as villain bets into me. Is the river bet (potsize) callable?

I can't tell if it's something like a PP that thinks it might be goot against my "potential AK" or if it's random T looking to get paid.

    MP1 ($104.50)
    MP2 ($49.30)
    MP3 ($63.35)

    SB ($72.15)
    BB ($104.50)
    UTG ($7.50)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, Q. Hero posts a blind of $1.
    4 folds, MP3 calls $1, Hero (poster) raises to $4, 3 folds, MP3 calls $3.

    Flop: ($9.50) T, T, 8 (2 players)
    MP3 checks, Hero bets $6, MP3 calls $6.

    Turn: ($21.50) 4 (2 players)
    MP3 checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($21.50) 2 (2 players)
    MP3 bets $20, Hero ...

i think a pp would be more likely to check/call if he thinks you have missed overs. i've been getting into trouble lately calling too many rivers so i'm currently biased towards folding lol. anyone else care to join in?

I'd look him up and make a note about the paired board check/call if it was in fact Tx.

Call. Either he sees your turn check as weakness and thinks you will fold or he has a T and wanted to c/r the turn but you checked. He is likely to have AK, AQ, AJ and thinks hes good, a missed draw or an 8 like J9, 89, 97, 78, any PP JJ and lower. If he has you beat then you will know he is a bad slowplaying type player in these situations.

Its very long time since I have seen strong river bet
to be a bluff. And yes I have called them a lot

I would bet the turn though and reconsider if I get
    smooth call or reraise.

    Marry Me Cheryl!!!
    insta-call.
hes either opening pots for a limp with average cards or likes his hands too much.
Pot bet is either nuts or a total bluff imo.
