made low pair + OESD, standard?

I just feel like I have too much equity in this pot to fold. Besides guys will start to think I'm semi-maniacal, right?

The only reason I'm posting this is I am all but guaranteed to be behind a larger pocket pair if he calls. That's about a 40/60 dog. When he reraises my flop bet that tells me he's not going away. Maybe I've got a smidge of fold equity on the push, <%5.

My opponent is 11/6 over 65 hands. I'm playing semi-tight 21/11 but betting fairly agressively post flop. I can't say I've seen him get out of line, hell he doesn't play any hands.

Is this just a standard play?

I would have check raised the flop...

i would just call the flop, it looks like he has some kind of overpair here, i'm guessing JJ or TT.

Thank you for the link. That was great.

Going for the check raise is a much better idea than my lead out bet. I can put him to the test for a lot less money. And I can do it before he tells me he's pot comitted (the $6 r/r).

Check/calling does seem like a good idea too. I guess it's pretty cheap see the turn and fold to a pot size bet. It just seems like a -ev call if the guy shuts down when the straight card hits. I paid for 2:1 on about a 4:1 draw and could possibly not get any more money in. Say I hit my straight on the turn, then what? c/r and hope he can't drop his TT-AA? Or if he checks behind value bet the river? I obviously can't check the river if he checks the turn.

I like check calling because this guy is most likely going to check behind with AK type hands after you call unless he pairs up, and if he has an overpair then he's not going anywhere no matter what you do.

also, based on my experience and warpes hand, I think overpairs will pay off a str8/set more than you'd estimate. and he may even check behind the turn with an overpair to give a free river.
