    Default $100NL, line checks please

Here are a few hands from $100NL. I'd appreciate any insight on if I lost value anywhere (by not folding when I should have, or by not raising when I should have)

    Thanks!

    HAND 1:
-I probably should have foled to the PF raise, if I didn't think I could
play agressively on an A high flop
-I definitely played this hand too passively. Is this a river fold after
    three barrels from villain?

    CO: $90.57
    Button: $107.50
    SB: $89.75
    BB: $51

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with
Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, Button raises to $5, 2 folds, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds.

    Flop: ($12.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero calls.

    Turn: ($28.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $13, Hero calls.

    River: ($54.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $30, Hero??

    HAND 2:
-how's this line? Should I just limp PF?
-Should I slow down after I'm raised on the flop?

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with

    Flop: ($11, 2 players)
Hero bets $8.75, Button raises to $17.5, Hero raises to $50.75, Button raises all-in $76.5, Hero calls.

    Turn: ($164, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $164)

    River: ($164, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $164)

    Final pot: $164

    HAND3:
-flat call by villain on the turn leads me to believe he is also on flush draw
-flush draw completes on river and he leads into me. I have a weak flush, is there value in raising? I usually don't like raising, if a push by villain would make me sick..

    Turn: ($8.5, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $5.75, CO folds, BB calls, UTG folds.

    River: ($20, 2 players)
    BB bets $9, Hero?

    HAND 4:
-I usually re-raise this preflop strong, but decided to mix it up and flat call here preflop
-how quickly/slowly do we play this hand?
-note, villain took a looong pause after my check raise on flop before calling. After this call should we slow down worried about set, KJ?
-I put villain on AK by turn and decided to open push, thinking he would call with TPTK and straight draw
    -good/bad?

Hand one, I wouldn't call PF unless there were several others in the hand and then I play for FD/trips.

Lead flop. Lead turn. If villain called both, you probably aren't beating him. If he raises at any point assume your 9 kicker is not good.

Hand two is perfect. Gotta raise PPs in all positions shorthanded. This is something I need to work on. Good flop for you too. You have a lot of outs to stack JJ+ with.

Hand 3, I probably don't raise the river, but flush over flush is not all that common.

Hand 4, I probably slow down on turn because KJ is squarely in his range and you are drawing to four outs if he has it. I check turn. Being OOP here sucks. Two pair needs played fast, but you can't get married to it......

    Default hands

    Thanks Cardsman,

Yah I should have lead the A9 hand to see where I was at. Though I'd imagine kings/queens or any pair might call there assuming that I don't have one of the aces. Fold preflop solves these problems for sure..

    Gabe,

Why that play in the last hand? You are beating AK/AJ/AT/KK/KQ/JJ but are crushed by KJ/TT/QQ/AA and KK/JJ have outs to cream you.

    Just curious....

Just curious...I lose more money with two pair and with overpairs than any other situations....every time I push two pair seems I get beat.

    *shrug*

lol.. yah I definitely play top two like the nuts. I think my problem with two pair, is that when I have two pair the cards are often somewhat connected.

So in this case I'm always torn between slowing down, or betting very strongly on a board that is connected, and could have people on straight draws.

Do I really want to play this hand slow, and let any K or J draw to their straight? Do I really want to play this hand fast when I am beat by so many other hands?

    ugh.. sucks..
