December Goals Thread - November Checkup

How'd everybody do?

Goals for November:
1) Play some $100NL, perhaps 3-5k hands depending on how it goes.
2) Do all the usual bonuses (including $300 from Sun)
3) Try to get the hang of short-handed limit.
4) Try out $3/6 LHE.
5) Improve play from BB in all forms of poker.
6) Get that $100 back off Biondino

1) Yeah. 3k @ -1bb/100
2) Didn't make the third $100 from Sun, otherwise fine.
3) Pfft. No. Gave up. (-$300 at the $2/4 tables)
4) Never tried it.
5) Hmm. Hard to say. Good stats this month, small sample.
6) He's running scared... bah!

Goals for December:
1) Play 7k hands of $100NL
2) Clear usual bonuses.
3) Try not to think about individual sessions +/-. Get to month's end and then check. i.e. Lose the results-orientedness.

November goals: play more hands, win more $

results: 20k hands of 1-2, 2-4, and 3-6, just under $8,000.

Seems like a lot of us had our best month ever in November, well done everyone.

Play >1000 60s/114s. Stop donking around in mtt's.
Fix leaks.
Make >4K.

Quit sng's, made some huge mtt cashes and returned to cashgames succesfully (+16k). Total this month +59K

December goal: play better, make 10k.

AA did me in this month had it 74 Times showed $128 profit -- sooo, not a great month for me but still ended up in the black.

-get my mind right and get back to playing 100nl and dab a little into 200nl; really concentrate on playing for 3-4 hrs. a day instead of 1-2 randomly.

-build my micro-roll to 1.5k and withdraw

November goals got cancelled because of my switch to ring. Made 300$ for the whole month, ughh!

December goals :

1) Play 20k hands
2)Sustain a 7ptbb/100

Goals for November:
Play at least 75k hands 41,655 played in cash games, 5,495 tourney hands
Maintain anything >5ptbb/100 @ $100 0.64ptbb/100 between all limits
Move up in the middle of the month to the $200 and win. Moved down to the $50 and lost then to the $25 and continued to lose
Make at least $6k this month $1476.58 does not cut it, $1046.78 in tourneys $429.80 in cash games

So the first month after the ban and not playing at Party was my absolute worst month in 2 years and 4 months.

My goals for December:
1. Make $3k
2. Stop playing bad when I'm running bad.
3. Clear my $650 bonus and make enough to earn another bonus plus clear it. Should take between 50 and 55k hands played at the $50 where I plan to stay unless I run insanely hot and I'll move up.
4. Play some sit and gos, maybe 250 or so.
5. Most importantly, I need to play better and not be such a nit. Finish NLHETAP and then read it again.

played 55k hands last month made 50k, this month i would like to play 100k+ hands, and make like 50k again. I had been sucking at poker the past couple of months so it was good to have a decent month. This will mostly be done at 3/6 and 5/10nl

--play more and more focused, continue good table/seat selection but avg 3-4 tables instead of 2, take time more often for tougher decisions.

--get better at outplaying known ppl post flop, esp in position, be harder to read/exploit.

--make more sweet moola.
(side note: i've actually been "semi pro" for around 6 months, and also working some side jobs in the meantime and starting a business I planned in college (finished undergrad almost a yr ago), by grinding 100 and 200nl. I keep making 20-30 buyins at 100nl, just start at 200nl, and then withdraw a bunch of $. my best month so far was around +3-4k, so it'd be nice to break that mark…ideally (def. think it's possible if I stick to above 2 goals and avoid a horrible run) - make about 5k, and stick at 200nl+)

December - Play as much as I can (will be moving again, then Christmas etc, but at least 20k 400NL hands). Get myself rolled and ready to start 2007 @ 3/6.
