    Default Missed Opportunities?

Well, I have decided to give 6-Max a sustained run after a 4-month Poker hiatus. Sadly, I have to start at $25NL because I withdrew my entire BR to fund my impending trip to Australia, plus I just want to get a feel for 6-Max before I get back and can deposit more money.

Anyway, here are a couple of hands that I am wondering whether I am missing out on some money, so any comments welcomed.

    Hand 1

    Stars $25NL (5 handed)

    UTG ($33.60)
    MP ($44.95)
    Button ($25.50)
    Staresy ($24.60)
    BB ($29.90)

Preflop: Staresy is SB with Q, Q.
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Button calls $0.25, Staresy raises to $1.25, 1 fold, UTG calls $1, Button calls $1.

    Flop: ($4) Q, 4, K (3 players)
Staresy bets $3, UTG calls $3, Button folds.

    Turn: ($10) 2 (2 players)
Staresy bets $8, UTG calls $8.

    River: ($26) 8 (2 players)
Staresy strongly suspects villain is on a draw, so wonders whether checking here to induce a bluff is the way to make money?

Villian is a 54/11 with a total AF of 0.6 - can I expect him to take the bait? Do I just make a nice value bet?

    Hand 2

    Stars $25NL (6 handed)

    SB ($41.80)
    BB ($25)
    Staresy ($25.25)
    MP ($30.15)
    CO ($4.20)
    Button ($11.45)

Preflop: Staresy is UTG with 8, 8.
Staresy calls $0.25, 3 folds, SB raises to $1, 1 fold, Staresy calls $0.75.

    Flop: ($2.25) 3, 4, 8 (2 players)
SB bets $2, Staresy raises to $5, SB raises to $8.5, Staresy considers his options ...

Villian is a 16/9 across a small sample. Getting 3-bet indicates to me that I have no reason to fear a draw (< correct?). Call here and let villain catch-up a little? Raise Big? Raise a little?

    Hand 3

    Stars $25NL (6 handed)

    Staresy ($24.75)
    SB ($9.85)
    BB ($15)
    UTG ($48.50)
    MP ($14.15)
    CO ($45.30)

Preflop: Staresy is Button with J, J.
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, 1 fold, Staresy raises to $1, 2 folds, MP calls $0.75.

    Flop: ($2.35) J, K, T (2 players)
MP checks, Staresy bets $1.5, MP calls $1.50.

    Turn: ($5.35) 6 (2 players)
MP checks, Staresy bets $4, MP calls $4.

    River: ($13.35) 2 (2 players)
MP checks, Staresy wonders what's with all the check-calling and wonders whether he should just check behind here?

    Villian is a 27/5.

hand 1: he seems really loose/passive, so thats the perfect guy to value bet.
hand2: push. if you call and a spade comes he might not put his stack in with a big red pair
hand 3: i would probably bet $2 on flop. i would bet river because they usually dont play a monster by check/callinging turn and checking riv

    1) A player with an AF of <1 [assuming this is over >100 hands] is not bluffing here very often, just bet again and hope he is calling down with a weak K

    2) I probably just push, at these stakes when you are 3bet on the flop, you have no FE [which is good here] so Id rather just get it in here without giving a random hand [which he very well could have] outdraw you on a pretty wet board

    3) Again, how many hands is this over? Actually it doesnt matter much here because this is almost always a bet as I cant imagine a player like that is planning a river checkk/raise. If you do get c/red here its easy to let go of the hand because this isnt ever a bluff. So bet here and expect to get called by worse hands a good portion of the time, definitely enough to make it profitable

    Staresy,

In hand one just put the rest in, it will only be a ½ pot bet. Villians with an o.6 AF wont take the bait and bluff the river when checked to often.

In hand two just push over on the flop. Villian seems nity and clearly likes his hand, so I dont think he will fold. Have in mind that waaay to many scarecards can fall on the turn and take away your action. VIllian probably has an overpair here. Also, raise PRF.

In hand three bet more on the flop to build a bigger pot. Villian has less than $8 left on the river, so I would just put the rest in. Most villians wont check/call the turn with the turned flush and then proceed to check again on the river. Villian will call the river with KQ, KJ, KT, hands that fit very nice into his probably range.
