Default Batlle of the blinds (NL 10)

Villain is 42/2/3 in 95 hands.

This all started with a battle of blinds. It is ok to raise with A5o SBxBB against an unknown player in this limits, or should I stop making this move? Then I make a c-bet, he calls and I catch an A on the river. Then I have no clue what to do...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($32.35)
    BB ($15.75)
    UTG ($8.20)
    Button ($8.35)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 5.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, BB calls $0.30.

    Flop: ($0.80) 8, 6, 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.6, BB calls $0.60.

    Turn: ($2) A (2 players)
Hero bets $0.6, BB raises to $1.2,

    Hero??

this play is all good till turn. good to be betting strong on the flop, except that in the BB he has probably hit and is ahead. Your turn is an awesome card for you, and I reraise. He probably is not a believe that you have an ace, especially with that weak turn bet. whats with the 1/3 pot size? I think you bet $1.50 on turn. dont be scared, what hand do you think he has that has you beat?

if he did end up also with a better ace, or flopping 2p, thats just very unlucky. play these situations strongly and most of the time you come out with a nice profit.

this is a tough situation. if you had bet 2/3ish of the pot when the A hit, and then he reraised, i could get off it easy. as its played, youre getting > 6:1 and i call the donk minraise and reevaluate the river.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Thanks for the answers. On retrospect, I think my only mistake up to here was the stupid probe bet on the turn. Then I get min-raise and dont know where I am. I decided to call the turn. On the river the 2s fell, he bet 2.5 and I folded.

bah. call his river and take the pot.

you should have led out with at least 2/3 pot sized bet on turn. Why do you think you are behind with the ace? If you do think you are behind when the ace hits, why are you even in the hand to begin with? Thats your best card to hit.
