If you play expect about 500 allins in the first hour. Another rebuy tourn I was in with fellow ftrers had 17 people and ~125 rebuys. Sheer insanity.

Why do we play FTR donkaments on NFL Sunday?

I don't get it, guys. I'm getting mixed signals here. In the past, we've tried Saturdays one season and Sundays another season during football, but the data of the past games shows that attendance was still higher in Sundays.

Help me out here because I don't know what to do. Should we just avoid FTR tournaments altogether during football season?

Doing so would effectively make it near impossible for our European players to participate.

And 8:00pm PT or ET on any day also rules out European players.

This is also a bad time of year for students because we all have exams. I couldn't play because I have a huge paper (worth 60% of my grade) due tomorrow.

Word of mouth is pretty important. You have the AIMs and MSNs of a lot of "high profile" FTR members, why don't you IM a couple and personally invite them to tourneys like this? Ask them each to ask a friend they know to play too. People play because certain people are playing all the time, I guarantee that will work. It will also work because when someone is personally invited, they feel like they have more reason to play.

I'm not saying to personally invite everyone, you obviously can't do that. Inviting just three or four people who are friends with other people here can create a domino effect.
