    Default NL2, good kinda-semi-bluff-poss.-the-best-hand-spot?

What do you guys think about this spot? Like it or hell noes?

No read on other guy, I was thinking at the time his line looks like an overpair or AK/AQ type hand. I think my J is ahead here sometimes, it will get him to fold a better hand sometimes, and I have some pretty sexy outs.

    Stage #515621077: Holdem No Limit $2 - 2006-12-12 15:42:29 (ET)

    *** TURN *** [4h 4s 8s] [Jd]
    CATH125 - Bets $14
    SUPER_MONKEY - Raises $36 to $36

My preflop call is because I heart 10J suited and im on the button. My flop call is with the intention of re-raising the turn 75% of the time.

Do you guys think this is too aggresive?

i dont mind it because i think you are right about the AK/AQ type hand. this is read dependent on if villain knows how to lay a hand down.

    No hindsight for the blind.
I like a turn call. He's not laying down overpairs here ever, and we have lots of outs against those + good showdown value. Raising the turn for deception/pot-building to make him stack off with an overpair if we hit river is not really good either, he'll find a fold to big river aggression if the flush hits. I don't think this board is good for winning a big pot.

The raise pretty much only folds out worse hands that we want to call a river bet. If I feel frisky here I raise flop to pick off a c-bet or get a free river card if he calls.

Shouldn't we want to keep AK/AQ in the hand?
