Default Live hand vs Skinsfan, 3-handed

Obviously, since i'm playing against my twin brother, who is Iowaskinsfan on this forum, this hand isn't standard whatsover. Especially since it's only $5 buy in.

We are three handed. Blinds 25/50 cent. $5 buy in = $20 in chips, this is a cash game, however. To my right is a bad player, he's not in the hand so he doesn't matter. Skinsfan is on the button, i'm BB with 89 offsuit.

I have $36.25, Skinsfan has me covered by a whole lot.

Skinsfan raises on the button $2. He doesn't do this with crap, i'd say his range (obviously really wide) is sc's 56s-AKs, 1 gap sc's 57s-AQs, connectors 67-AK, All pocket pairs, hands like T8, J9o, and Q8o, and above.

SB folds, i call. Flop comes 57T, two clubs

I bet $2. I almost never donk bet like this, so i'm sure it was strange to him. I feel like he has to raise here with anything decent, mid pair, TP, overpair, two pair, set. He might raise here with AK or AQ, maybe any Ahigh. Folding anything else, probably.

He raises to $6, i call planning to play it for implied value.

    Pot is now $16.

Turn a 2h, complete blank. I check, he thinks for a while and checks.

    Pot is still $16.

River is an A of spades. No draws complete.

I push all in for $28.25...

Why do i do this? First of all, he is definitely very capable of laying down a pair here, even a pair of aces good kick, if he thinks he's beat. I'm trying to represent two pair or a set, especially an A7, AT, or A5.

what are your thoughts on my play?

Just noting that this is a game where we are constantly trying to 2nd and 3rd level each other. You don't think this could be two pair?

online, i agree with gabe. this is almost always a missed FD. since you to play against each other alot (i assume), and are 2nd and 3rd leveling each other, then this is a good play if skinsfan can lay down a good hand.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

if he thinks you would fold an ace here, then he wouldn't be valuebetting two pair, would he?

But what if I don't get to that level or feel it's obvious that he knows this so he's taking it to the next level?

I think based on the unpredictability of both of our plays his play should pretty much be based off of what he thinks my hand is.

Well if neither of you know what level the other is on its pretty hard for anyone to decide if its a good play or not.

you are risking $30 to win $15 (ish) so you need to win 2/3 of the time or more.

Since its pretty much 50/50 what level hes on its probably a spew.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

    haha, i like that quote.

I think this is hard to understand because we know eachother extremely well. Extremely well (we're twins what do you expect?).

Anyways, he actually had a set of 7's. I was just thinking what would've happened if he had a one pair hand, which he could have easily possessed.

He seemed to be in a "lets read everyone really well" mood.

I don't think arguements on this thread can be tangible enough to continue a discussion on this topic.

*shrug* there is a good chance he doesn't have a hand strong enough to call much of anything. You should consider betting less than a push.

In a situation me vs Skinsfan a pot bet looks more like a bluff.

1/2 pot value bet gets him off air and one pair other than an Ace will sometimes out-think themselves and muck.

yeah, you are probably right. Although, it's a lot sicker if i get an A to muck
