His river push just screams AA or QQ to me...

Any flop reraise will pot-commit you so I'll push flop and pay off QQ if he has it. I read somewhere before that in a SH raised pot if you can beat AA you should go nuts.

I push this flop. You're only behind QQ and AA/KK maybe AQ are paying you off. This is a really weird line from SB. I guess as played you can give up when the A hits

SB took a really weird line. After the flop check-raise, I'd put villain on QQ+. This could definitely be a set of Queens acting "scared" of the turn A, and trying to induce a bet.

I'd say you made a good fold on the river, though I'm not sure I'd be able to fold it. But I stack off way too much with two pair!

I actually like how you played this. I'd expect AA/KK/AQ to lead out here. Insta-check after 3bet preflop, then minraise.. if you look at that line I think you have every right to be suspicious. If he leads out I'd be more confident in my hand. River as played is an easy fold I think, the off chance he was playing AA like this is also conter-feited, and we can rule KK out too most likely.

On another note, SB shoulda bet like $45 on the turn.. can you fold to a less then 1/3 pot bet? And then when he shoves the river it's $95 on a $238 pot.

Very off-topic, but because of this thread being moved, for the first time ever I went and took a look at another forum on this site (NLHE Strategies). Shortly thereafter I had to got for a lie down, and will not be making the mistake of checking that forum again.

its full of people claiming that luck has something to do with poker.

Dont fold this preflop, c/r all in on flop. If he has QQ, meh.

haven t read other replies so don t mind me if i m just repeating everything :

-donkllain's range here is probably AK/AA/QQ/AQ

So I figure a push is +ev on the flop but a call is -ev on the river.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

this reeks of an overpair. i think you have to push the flop and pay off QQ if you run into it.

I read this as a .5/1 hh, and in that case I think its played just fine. But seeing as its 1/2 you gotta push flop. His range is QQ-AA AQ and maybe TJs?(donks like to min3bet pf with silly shit like this.) So pretty much youre absolutely crushing his range. As played, river fold is g00t.
You-- yes, you-- you're a cunt.
