Default Stakes, play, and currency...(brits shime in)

Ok I play my poker in US funds but live in Canada and therefore enjoy a 15% currency exchange.

My question is, how is the play at different stakes when playing on sites with British pounds.

Is the 25pounds the same as the 25NL, or is it more like 50NL, and so on....

The reason I ask is because 1 pound is worth a little over 2 dollars here in canada and it would be interesting on a return standpoint to play on a uk site.

    biondino can comment on crypto.
At boss media the play on gbp was the same as on USD.

Its pretty funny but I JUST asked biondino this exact question. Because we both play on crypto (I'm from Canada.. but play on Interpoker, which has both USD and pound tables)

He said he found the 50 pound tables easier than the $100NL tables, so I'm wondering if I should be playing the 50 pound tables instead as well. Since the buyins are essentially the same.

Just as an interesting follow up.

I just scrolled through the $100NL tables and found that the players to the flop is averaging between 30-40%, meanwhile on the 50 pound tables, the players to the flop has several tables at 50%.

So from a high level observation, it seems that the 50 pound tables might play more like $50NL, than $100NL. So this seems like it might be a good switch!

The £25NL tables cost as much to buy in as the $50NL tables on Crypto, but thats where the similarities end, the £50NL players are as bad as the $25NL players. Also on Crypto, the monthlies and bonuses clear the same on a $25 or £25 table, so even though you buy in for more, you have to clear the bonus at the same rate.

On another note, I found it very hard to play the £ tables. When your down £10 or up £10 PT is jumping in $20 increments, so it really throws your perception off on how well or how bad you feel you are doing.

I play on a daily basis from 25NL to 100NL so I am used to the diffence in chip value.

My reasoning was, if the play is the same, i rather make 20gbp thand 20Usd. I mean it's practically double with the exchange rate towards can. dollar.

Btw, what site does Crypto cover?

So, it would take me longer to clear bonuses playing the 50 pound tables than $100NL?? ... that seems a little ridiculous.. hmmm.

I'm playing these pound tables for the first time right now.. and from what I can tell, the pound tables at 50 are fishier than the $100NL tables!

Not sure whats a better tradeoff.. somewhat fisher tables.. or faster bonus clearing.

Oh Jesus. There have been a couple of sharks who've moved in lately - I don't need FTR regulars to descend en masse and take away any chance of me actually making money!

I actually tried playing some 50 pound tables yesterday, and was surprised how much fishier they were. I might have to join in on this party!

But don't worry.. I'm definitely not that good =)

Though I might not play much.. if it takes longer to clear bonuses.
