Default Incredibly weird multistreet bluff. 2/4 stars

Villain is nitty, something like 17/9 if i recall. We have no history, im pretty new to these games.

Ive been at the table for about 30 minutes and been playing fairly nitty for me (like 19/14). Only big pot was when a button opener spewed a buyin with KT into my QQ aipf.

Been getting some srsly mixed reviews on this one.

Exploitation at it's finest. I would raise the river more though, he may make a cry call.

I don't understand, this seems pretty sucky. If opp is nitty there's no way he bets out the river without a J unless u have seen him block a lot. I mean this just looks like J and bad kicker.

what part of a 9% raising range includes any jack? other than perhaps AJ?

Yeah and what hand plays it this way besides a J? A nit bets an overpair on the riv????

This looks way too much like he has a jack for my liking. Do nits with these stats generally ten to give you action with an overpair OOP after you raise them on the flop and the turn pairs the board? And then the river pairs it again?

Edit: Those questions come across as rhetorical but I am actually asking.

As stupid as it might sound bit I think that AK/AQ would look you up here. Not quite sure if a nit even raises AJ UTG.

Ive played a lot with GL. Hes a prototypical semi-nitty tag.
He never, ever, ever gives me or most anyone else credit ever. He wins money by somehow getting ppl to bluff him and calling them down with marginal holdings every hand. Since I have learned this, I set mine and profit, as he goes broke with top pair or overpairs or most anything. It took me around 1000 dollars to figure this out, let me save you a few. Just Vbet, set mine, and profit.

That being said, DO NOT make multistreet bluffs against this player. Sauce.

I don't understand the flop raise. Calling seems much better.

I like the line on the flop with the raise and with his call, you got the information you was looking for. He bets n2 you on the turn so this is where I think the mistake lies because your hand is obviously not best here. You called to basically bluff on the river because you're quite sure it isn't good @ showdown. I would give it up on the turn.

If riv blanks and he checks, say u bet 170. Do u think he folds AA/KK? My point is that just because someone has nitty pf stats, doesn't mean that they are easily pushed around postflop. This is a lesson I've learned the hard way and I think its a mistake that a lot of ppl tend to make. I think a lot of "nits" in that game will look u up pretty often with AA/KK, just because they can't fold it and frankly your line doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The river 6 is a great card for him because it makes 66 that much more unlikely (and all draws missed), and its pretty unlikely you raise Jx on the flop on such a dry board. It's also very unlikely u raise 33 on the river. But if u are going to run this, I'd raise turn, because of the implied threat of u pushing riv.

    results: he folded instantly.

I know that doesn't make this play any better, but I just want you guys to know that i do actually post hands that work out positively, on occasion.
