Default 25NL 99 hits set on turn

Heya CO here was pretty lagg here, 30/14, MP3 Laggy 46/20 both over a decent amount of hands.

What would you do about the re-raise on the turn? Would you bet the flop up against these sort of players or even re-raise flop?

Both players flop fold to bet % was <40% so i didnt want to build a pot with an underpair. Weak play?

99 Raise from that position a good idea? Its a hand i dont know whether to limp or raise most times.

Id appreciate your insight onto this one.

Not at all. Both are loose enough to have a Q. Check/call a reasonable bet as you did, I think

    It depends

Most here would advocate a raise with it I think. Depends on the big picture of what kind of image you want to give off and how loose/passive the table is. At a table full of loose cold-callers with a LAG mixed in, I'd rather limp in EP and if it's raised behind you know you're at best 50/50 but you'll have some set value hopefully. If you raise UTG and get reraised you probably don't have the odds to call for set value. If you raise and get 2 or 3 callers, the flop is not likely to be good for you and you end up OOP with 2nd or 3rd pair and vari0us draws out there.

Agree with AHiltz-- a call there looks as ominous as a 3bet so get it in with likely the best hand. Hopefully villains have 88, 22, AQ, KQ. JsTs is certainly in range but so are 98 and Q8. You're beating too much to not get it all in here.

Thanks for the replies, he turned over JTo and put in the chat

"sorry mate, i made a decent size re-raise, you should have folded the set, dont go all in unless you have the nutz.."

Just annoyed me and i wondered if I played it right, but it looks like I did, thanks for the responses

Easy to see he has a straight on the turn. He bets so big because he is afraid of the flush hitting. Easy fold for me.

You had a 20% chance to boat the river. Guess that didn't pan out. JT bells are going off, but given the ranges and the redraw what the hell.

    lol.

your equity in thsi spot with a set of nines is so huge at these stakes dont ever think about folding.
If he likes gutshots, we like him. He has other weaknesses that we'll take much moe advantage of.
