Default Looking for a "cash game partner"

I am going to be getting serious about cash games and I want get involved with them.

I know I am a winning player at NL ring (6max) cash games but I want to improve my game while moving up in stakes.

I will be starting at 25NL with 4 tables. I will slowly add tables until I max out at 8 tables, this is where I will stop.

My goal is to develop myself as a player and to learn something about the game every day that I play.

I want to start at 25NL, playing with 30-40 buyins, whichever I feel most comfortable with and move up in limits as I have enough buyins (as well as feel comfortable with how things are going)

I am looking for someone who wants to go on a journey with me and explore cash games while learning a lot together. I want someone who will talk about hands and situations with me, and do this with me.

If you have any questions, comments, or are interested in doing this with me, please post here with thoughts (and contact info).

To contact me directly, you can catch me on AIM at DaRkSoLd13r

    Thanks guys!

Most of us around here don't collude with others. You can try asking WildBob though. After seeing him play I'm convinced that's the only way he could make money.

Sounds like ur trying to find a love partner
The flop, turn and river can change everything. It is important to remain objective and remember that the overall goal is to win, not win this specific hand

I don't think he's talking about colluding, and this sounds interesting. I'm currently playing $25NL, but I'm hoping to move up to $50NL soon, but i'll give it a shot. I always thought it would be helpful to have someone to talk to about hands while your playing. I'll send you an IM and we can talk about this more.

Don't play 8 tables- ever. Usually 4 is too many.

At the micro stakes w/ $25 buy in I guss you can go that route and just play your AA-QQ, AK and PP's and set hunt but it is near impossible to observe opponents and position like you need to with that many tables.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding..

I never EVER meant to talk about colluding .. I meant what Bankroll said. I've got a bunch of people to talk with now. Feel free to add me or PM me and I'll have more people to discuss things with.

    Thanks guys.

I'm not saying playing 8 tables can't make money at low limits. It certainly can if you sit there and play only those premium hands and get paid off by poor players.

However, if you want to develop as a poker player and move up in stakes I would strongly recommend against playing more that 3-4 tables tops.

Thats something I never have understood why there are so many players that only think about how many tables they can play at once instead of thinkting about how they can improve their game.
I would say that you might never become a great player at all if your goal is to play 8 tables at once because even a genious cant handle all the information you get when playing that many tables, its impossible.
That said I would recomend you only to play 2 tables and try moving up instead of playing 4 $25 NL tables, if it doesnt work then move down again and try to figure out why you cant win at higher stake.
I have never played at more than 3 tables once because I think I miss so many things at the tables, that its better to become a better player than staying too long at a lower stake.
There is nothing I love more than a fish at the table and the next thing is a multitabler that play 4-8 tables once because their game is pready bad, too standard and its easy to pick situations where I can steal pots from them, they play tight and when they hit toppair they get super agressive and I know that when they raise preflop they got some middle pair or 2 big cards which means what when they make their standard tight play its so damn easy to call with any 2 cards (almost ) and when the flop comes something like 2-8-5 they make their standard continuation bet even it works on some players and they can make them fold they cant make me fold because its just a standard continuation bet that they impossible could have hit a flop like that, I then reraise and they most of the time just fold, if they call they always got something like AK AQ AJ and I can make a 2nd stab at the pot as a bluff on the turn and make them fold, if they get crazy I just fold...
All that said, I think its better for you to develop skills at playing poker instead of playing cards if you know what I mean. I dont believe that the biggest players at the cash game tables played 8 tables at once all their way to $5000 NL, they know how to play poker.
Many low limit players even dont know the odds before they start playing 8 tables, making matematically disasters everyday because they never gave themselves the chance to learn the odds when they played 1-2 tables, can cost you your bankroll in the long run...

That's all nice and dandy, BUT it's NL25! His main goal is to build the bankroll and get the hell out of there and up to 50NL as soon as possible! That's possibly where & when he can start concentrating on his play, trying to develop beyond the typical ABC player. If BR and Personal Confidence indicates you are comfortable playing more than the typical 2 tables at a time, then do so!! Don't worry about people people bullying and stealing your $.25 up to maybe $1, hey if they wanna be aggressive morons let them, it's no great loss to you! Get me? IMHO NL50 is where you should take a step back and minimize your tables to no more than 3 and really start observing game play (yours & opponents) and taking NOTES for further reference, cause the players you play there will inevitably be the players you play @ NL100-200!! Get Grind'N and GL

I'm not really doing this right now to make the most money possible, I'm doing this to learn more and more and have a good time. Just setting aside $1k for a challenge for myself but right now, I'm having trouble finding time to play because I'm so busy right now. Hopefully time opens up soon.

Obv this = all multitablers [/sarcasm] You can play 8 tables and still play good poker. The players your playing that are multitabling would probly be just as bad if they were sitting at 2 tables. You get used to playing more tables and are able to process the information quicker and absorb more of it in at the same time.

I'm playing 6 tables ATM. I'm constantly improving my game, winning money and I don't go crazy with an overpair. I do c-bet a lot tho.

I think everyone has their limit of tables they can play while still improve and win. They key is just to know your limits.
