    Default TPTK+FD...bet this turn?

villain is loose/donkish, semi-agg pre, and seems mostly passive post.
my image is just regular tag. the only major history is me stacking him with an overpair to his AJ TPTK in a 3bet pot where i played it straightforward (bet, push).

do you bet the turn? how much?

betting the turn is pretty +ev though imo and would be a more profitable line.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

    No hindsight for the blind.
I play this pretty much excactly the same. I check behind turn for pot control, and to inducing a river bluff or a bluff catch from him.

Why should we bet the turn? (For protection + because there are so many scare cards for his Kx type hands that can come on the river? )

cuz we have the best hand a huge % of the time and we have redraws if he raises.

Our read is that villain is passive postflop and HERO just c-bet a classic "c-betting" flop so we don't expect villain to have a big hand here a whole lot.

But I'd usually bet here because this player loves to call with a hand like Jd8x on this board.

ya i was thinking Jd8x and TP type stuff (prob 2pr/sets too) will call, and betting gives credibility for when i 2 barell.

it's not like i think i should bet there every time, but pretty sure i don't do it enough of the time.

You don't get the best of guys like that checking good hands behind.

Against a more aware opponent I like your line, except I like a smaller river bet between 50%-75% of the pot to induce weaker hands to call.

Im with Fnord. Bet the turn and make a smaller river bet as played.

I like your line, but with this specific opponent you probably need to bet the turn. He could have mid pair, a PP, TP, or even bottom pair on the flop and the turn may have given him a FD too, which will probably make him call. Otherwise, he's folding the river anyways if you check behind the turn, unless he sucks you out.

The turn gave you additional outs. I would bet. Also as played I would make a smaller river bet.

arg after looking again and reading replies here i totally agree.
i think lately i'm not playing as well, like reverse-tilt.

pukw. not betting this turn for value against a passive opponent is burning money.

I screw this up all the time, too - because it's so opponent dependent. Vs. this guy (if you read is g00t, you want to fire 3 bullets with TPTK. Vs. a tag regular, that would be very spewy
