Default raise.. or call?.. probably completely standard

    Hand 1:
-no real reads on villain, I haven't seen him do anything too out of line
-Villains river lead seemed very odd/too big considering I had the nut flush in this spot.
-Flat call this river, or push??

    CO: $740.50
    Hero: $394
    SB: $178.48
    BB: $572.50

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises to $20, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.

    Flop: ($64, 3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $46, SB folds, UTG calls.

    Turn: ($156, 2 players)
    UTG checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($156, 2 players)
    UTG bets $132, Hero??

    Hand 2:
-villain is new to the table, no real reads
-This hand looks very standard, and seems like an obvious river raise
-BUT, just the way villain bet on the river, I just felt like he had QJ and that he rivered me and that I was beat. How often do you go on your "gut feeling" here, and flat call, instead of doing the +EV play and raising?
-assuming, ofcourse, raising is the +EV play

    Turn: ($23, 2 players)

Hand 1 I would raise as even though it is a paired board the way the hand played out a flush seems to be a very likely part of his range and you might get some value out of K but I would be interested what others think

Hand 2 I raise all day, you cant really put an opponent on a single hand that involves so few combinations given his range , & to me his beting pattern could be quite a wide range, he might not even have a jack considering he check the turn on a flush draw board.

note I only play at .25

I think I'd rather just call in hand #1. I can't see getting paid often enough by worse.

Hand #2 I still get it all-in. I used to be afraid of the better FH in these spots but that's just too weak. I also bet the flop. If it's gonna be a big hand you're only really getting money from trips anyway so start putting money in ASAP. Plus people love to play back at you on paired flops when you're the PFR it seems.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

And yah I fully realize hand 2 is a raise, and yes I ended up raising, BUT my instinct told me not to! .. and my instinct was right. QQ!!?? lol... so i wasn't right about QJ, but still...

I'm more curious about hand 1. What is the best play in this spot without a read?

i think flat calling is fine in hand 1. people show up with boats there enough and i dont think a Kc is calling a push anyways.

hand 2 i want to get in all in with. Definitly bet the flop.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Hand 1: I think you just call

Hand 2: You need to bet the flop, bet turn, raise river get all in on if possible, boo hoo if it's FH over FH.
