    Default Huge Home-game Pot

Last hand of a 7 hour home-game with hometown buddies. 2am everyone has gotten laggy. It's the last pot- which means everyone is playing ATC preflop and calling any-sized raise. Villain is loose and sometimes creative.

    6-handed.

    UTG (35BB)
    MP1 (10BB)
    Hero (250BB)
    BU (150BB)
    SB (35BB)
    Villain (280BB)

UTG calls BB, MP1 felts 10BB (as promised).

    Hero looks down at

Hero calls 10BB, BU calls 10BB, SB raises to 35BB (allin), BB calls 34BB, UTG calls 25BB (allin), Hero calls 25BB, BU folds

*I'm essentially headsup v. the other bigstack*
    Flop
    :Ks:

    Villain checks, Hero checks
    Turn
    :Kh:

Villain bets 50BB, Hero calls 50BB

    River

    Villain checks, Hero bets 30BB

    How'd u play it?
    Results later if wanted.

Bet flop, raise turn, bigger river bet

ummm you have the near nuts against an opponent who is most likely willing to stack off with any piece. Act like you're making a play at the hugely bloated pot.

If villain is even slightly paying attention he knows you arent bluffing since you are already showing down with half the table if he folds. I still agree with the actions though since hes likely to show down with anything half decent.

I take it this game is a cash game? Real money?

Bet flop, raise turn probably push river. Its a massive pot and a massive flop and you should be going for the kill here.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

We can assume he has a hand since he bet the turn with a sidepot

    I just push the river

In some ways thats an awesome flop, but his check into you makes me wonder if he's got a king. If he does, maybe it's low kicker? I'd check the same as you on the flop, but raise on the turn. On the river I bet hard again if he checks into me. Hopefully he's got trips and is feeling "pot commited". If he folds, you got another bet from him on the turn (unless he folds to your raise in which case you're never getting anything out of him.)

If he pushes all in, I cry a little inside and call, praying he turns over KA or 910. If he shows you KK, the poker gods hate you.

Thanks for the advice, seems unanimous. Yeah... I need to sack up in these big pots, I was fearing Kingsup turned boat for some reason, I forget why.

He turned over K-rag. He said he prob wouldn't have stacked off, but... we both knew that was bull. I guess the fact that >50% of the chip case's inventory was in the center of the table kinda got me scared. It's a leak.
