Such an easy call right?

Default Such an easy call right?

Villain is uber passive. He never raises...if he has the nuts he just check calls until the river he will check/raise.
He also just check/calls down with TPTK type hands.

But no matter how passive he is, I can't fold this can I?

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $133.90
    Hero: $99.00
    Button: $269.30
    SB: $184.20
    BB: $147.00

    Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with K K
UTG raises to $2, Hero raises to $8, 3 folds, UTG calls.

    Flop: 6 J 4 ($17.5, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $12, UTG calls.

    Turn: 8 ($41.5, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $32, UTG raises all-in $113.9, Hero calls all-in $47

If he's that passive this is almost always 444, 666, JJJ, or AA.

Tough to get away from on a board like that, though.

P.S. EDIT -- The check/call flop, check/raise turn line is a monster a lot at these stakes.

51% VPIP? pot odds have to call, if you plan is to fold to a turn push then bet less or check the turn.

its an ugly spot, but with those pot odds you have to call, but dont expect to be good very often

agree with coco. don't bet the turn unless you plan to call a push.

I fold and I bet the same on the turn. We're betting big here because this guy never raises so we're expecting him to call down with TPTK or something weaker. When the guy that never raises does exactly that, we can fold not caring about the pot odds.

Also, I find these mini-raises preflop are very often weak pocket pairs. Although with his stats it's probably JJJ.

Also, can someone who is in the calling camp give a better explanation as to why we should call here ever against someone with this aggression factor and taking this very strong line? I don't understand what the reasoning would be?

about 120 in the pot and 47 left to call. it was said what he does with the nuts and with TPTK type hands, but not what he does with say 2 pr or a draw.

If he normally waits for the river to try to get the rest of your stack in why would he change things on this hand? There are 2 flush draws, which means you could make a case for him protecting his TP/2pr, pushing his draw, or protecting his set. But with those options and such good odds, it seems like a call.

You said he C/C TPTK, so you have to fold this. To be a big winner you have to be able to make these folds even though you dont want too, let other people call if the cards were reversed.
