    Default BR Question

I am trying to come over the the MTT and larger SNG tables. What is the standard for a BR. I know in NL cash gamesa it is 30 buy-ins, but what about MTT and larger field SNG's?

    They were suited!
Most MTT'ers will say 100 buyins for freezeouts. For the 180's (which can be pretty high-variance themselves), I'd estimate you'd be comfortable with 75-100 buyins. I play 45-man SNGs a lot, I'd say you'd be able to get by on 50 buyins for those.

Of course, all this is assuming you know what you're doing and are beating the games.

I'd agree with Andy. Smaller field sizes equate to less variance. Take a look at the MTTs you are going to playing, if they are 1000+ players on Stars you might want to budget a few more buyins than if you're playing 300-400 fields on FTP, for example.

Another thing to consider is your average buyin. If I were operating on a $1000 bankroll, I would shoot for the $11 tourneys, but also mix in some $5.50s (or $4.40s) and also some $22s or the FTP $26s. Check your average buyin periodically to make sure you're on track. As your bankroll increases or decreases, you can make adjustments to your tournament mix as appropriate.
    On moving up, properly rolled:
