Default Question about what to do

I read the faq page that someone told me to read in my last post asking about proper bankroll for sng's, so I deposited 30 buy ins for the $5.50's and moved up from the $1.20 sit n where I ended up having an overall record of 14 wins out of 25 total games played, (2 first, 6 seconds, and 6 thirds). To where I now have a record of 22-48, (2 first, 7 seconds, and 13 thirds). I was just down 7 buy ins before I just now placed in 4 in a row while writing this post. I was really concerned about my bankroll. But now im only down 3. I feel I should go ahead and post this though because just because I am only down 3 now. Im curious as to how long this is going to last before I start making money. If your curious if maybe I have a leak, I can honestly say that out of all the games ive played and didnt place in, I feel that I have played great. I have went out when shoving mostly (90% of the time or more) to coin flips. Either having a pair like 77 up agaisnt A8, or vice versa (about even in having each one). ONE time I re-raised all in with KK in the sb when the button raised and then called having AA. Before I re-raised I had about 9 big blinds. I also made one other mistake with calling a all in shove from a player utg+1 that had about 5 big blinds when I had 3.5 with 33 and he had TT. It was 5 handed and was gonna post blind in a couple hands and have 2 BB's left. I knew nothing about him and couldnt find anything about him being loose in the hand history at the table, as I play about 4-5 sng's at a time and can easily play more but with such a standard bankroll, I dont wanna get crazy with only 23 now 27 buy ins. Anyway...I was just hoping he had overs and was shoving because he was short. Looking back on that hand I think I might even call that kind of raise again in that same situation that short with no info on the player. I was just too short to wait any longer for any decent hands. And id say ive sucked out on AA with KK once in a shove. A player raised preflop and I re-rased all in back (standard 3.5 re-raise back all in). But I have lost about 5-8 hands goin all in where I was about a 66/33 favorite when I was called. Anyway its easier for me to write this now that im not down 7 buy ins but still, was that kind of swing normal? And how long can this last?

Hi there, if you've only played 48 SNGs then I would chalk it up to variance since that is a small sample size. The sort of swing you're talking about is entirely normal, in fact it is expected! It is possible to run break even or even slightly down over several hundred SNGs and still be a winning player.

Post some hands or whole tourneys for review, that way we can see what leaks you have (since we all have them). Saying this:

is probably a sign that you have more leaks than you think.

One more thing, if you're a relatively new player then try just playing one table at a time to start, get that down pat then add more tables.

First example definately isnt a mistake, thats a great play that ran into a better hand. Thats poker. If you shove over every time you have KK in SB when button raises you'll make money in the long run.

Second ones a bit more borderline, but given your situation was probably ok, and again just unlucky to run into a decent hand.

Dont mistake losing hands as mistakes. If you make the right play and lose, thats variance and you should win in the long run with that scenario.

Agree with Taipan though, looking at your own play and deciding you're playing great isnt enough. Especially with such little experience at SnGs. Post some hands or tourneys and let the experts here give you some feedback.
Just dipping my toes back in.
