also you maximize your value with big hands wich is a key to succsess in poker. Theres no saying that you wont flop the sweet end of a massive cooler first hand in the BB it could happen, and if you but in shore your costing yourself tons of money in the long run. TONS!!!!!!!
All we can do as players is maximize value and minimize loss. Buying in short severly impedes your ability to do eaither. Ok so not getting paid obviously maximizes prfit, but how does it minimize loss?
Lets look at this situation, and hopfully youll be able to reconize the point im trying to explaine.
Your in the c/o with JJ first orbit no reads. In situation A in a 10 nl game you but in for 2.0 in B you but in max at 10.00
MP raises to .45 and you look down at QQ, on the c/o.
situation A (short) so i assume we understand the point of how we cant maximizevalue here....
Also You cant reraise to isolate very effectivly here, you cant just call as your comitted. So if you have a stack you could call and fold on a scary flop, with a shor stack your forced all in.
Im not great at explaining but i hope that hand shows the underlying concept of minimizing loss by having a bigger stack. Your not commiting yourself as much, you have more oppertunities to make decisions (AKA out play your oppenents)
