Adjustments

When do players start really making solid adjustments and exploiting your game, where then you in turn will have to adjust back at them?
400nl? 600?

I haven't experienced this leveling type stuff yet. I'm sure a handful of good players at 200nl are doing this, but not enough that it is EV to adjust as the rest of the table is paying me plenty.

Although I'm sure some of it is variance (though I haven't been running especially hot) it seems like I'm doing well with my 200NL move because:

- Nobody is really adjusting to my play.
- I have done well as a result of adjusting to opponents play.
- The player pool is smaller and players stay longer at tables I get to know players and their tendencies much better than at lower limits.

People at low stakes are generally too passive to make it necessary for major adjustments. The biggest adjustments I make are don't bluff this guy or play tighter/looser preflop, but that's it.

isn't 200nl considered medium stakes?

also, you play 400nl, do you notice people adjusting more? I guess by adjustments I mean noticing your PF tendencies and changing the way they play based on your range. It seems like I can continue to let aggro's hang themselves with C/Rs and nothing changes. Nobody also notices how nitty I'm running and continue to call my supertight 3betting range which is often QQ+ and AKs only. I also fold with almost everything to 3bets except pp and AK/AQs, if people noticed that they could just 3bet me to death.

I kinda feel this same as you. I just became a 200NL reg myself and I still see plenty of fish throwing money around at this level. Like you I'm off to a good start also and I haven't changed much except I'd say I 3-bet and even 4-bet alot more pre-flop now.

From what I've seen so far you don't have to get very fancy to beat 200NL, atleast at Party and iPoker where I'm playing. I can still find tables with a couple guys running 50/5 or 65/40.

I guess it depends but i think 200nl is mostly considered small-medium stakes. I think generally (at 2+2 anyway) 25c-50c and under is micro, 50c-1, 1-2 is small stakes, 2-4 to 5-10 is medium stakes, and 10-20 and up is high stakes.

As far as adjustments, i think it really just depends on the player. As you move up the stakes, more and more players actually adjust. My guess is around 5-10 and up almost everyone will adjust except the usual donks. I think you should try to be adjusting as much as you can all the way up.

agreed, I just never saw a player at 200nl who was exploting me at all.

I agree. I just don't see it happen at 200nl, as ISF says. Maybe 3 or 4 guys.
