Default is a play like this profitable at micro stakes?

dont have any notes on villain but i assumed that he have a hard time finding the fold button with TPTK or overpair. only make these plays at nits or is it standard?

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (4 handed)

    Button ($56.17)
    SB ($3.75)
    BB ($29.62)
    Hero ($30.59)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T, 8.
Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $2.

    Flop: ($6.10) Q, 9, K (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: ($6.10) 2 (2 players, 2 all-in)
    BB bets $5, Hero raises to $30.59 (All-In), BB calls $29.37 (All-In).

Well seeing as you have less than 50% equity, you need fold equity to make the shove +EV. According to the description you don't have fold equity... therefore, no.

But, when you do have fold equity, this is a decent move. Check the NL Hold 'em Strategies, there's a good thread going down about this (The Mathematics Of Semibluffing).

I'd personally just call that turn bet and hope to bust him on the river.

just call the turn. Your draw isnt stong enough vs. a callilng station.

    edit: basically what Ash said.

no, bad play. here's why -- you can risk only the turn bet and stack him if you hit if the flush hits (backdoor draws people don't pay attention to) . If you hit the donk end of the straight, don't make the pot too big and just be happy to take the pot.

No, don't make fancy plays like this at this level. As others have said, you need a good amount of fold equity to make this even okay, and from what you've said, you have no fold equity... so why are you doing this?

Just call and hope to hit so you can stack a donk...

it shows how u need to think about the opponent's tendencies, rather than raise just since u have a big draw.

if they're going to pay it off when it hits and not likely to fold, it makes more sense not to raise.
