    Default Pushing early ($10NL)

I mean in the sense of a significant overbet, but if you think it'll be called (and you want it called). Is this ok? Heres 2 hands from just now where I did it. Thoughts? Same villian in each if that matters. He was fairly Laggy.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG ($9.30)
    MP ($13.45)
    Hero ($11.90)
    Button ($5.75)
    SB ($4.90)
    BB ($16.40)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, A.
1 fold, MP calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.4, 3 folds, MP calls $0.30.

    Flop: ($0.95) J, 8, Q (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $0.6, MP raises to $2, Hero calls $1.40.

    Turn: ($4.95) Q (2 players)
MP bets $1.05, Hero raises to $9.5

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($10.05)
    SB ($6.55)
    Hero ($16.05)
    UTG ($6.80)
    MP ($15.55)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, 9.
3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

    Flop: ($0.20) 9, 3, J (2 players)
SB bets $0.2, Hero raises to $0.6, SB raises to $1, Hero raises to $15.95

Are these kinds of hands when opp has shown strength likely to be called enough to make this play worthwhile?

These ridiculous overbets will not be called enough. Just make normal raises.
Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.

^What he said for the most part. Although it is an interesting concept. I think when villain shows significant strength and you know that when villain does that he will stack off, it is often fine in some circumstances. Plus it often looks like some sort of draw and your more likely to be called by tp type hands.

However, the two hands you posted your hand is ridiculously strong, and i don't really see the point. In hand 1 unless he has a boat or a really good queen, hes not calling, and hes prolly not calling hand 2 with tp, unless your lucky, mine as well just extract money on every street from him instead of scaring him away. If all else fails you can just shove over the river and have more money already in the pot right?

Yeah, I think this might be a bit of a hangover from my HU games where once someone shows str they're often happy to call for all their chips, so I'm used to taking advantage of that.
