Default casino 1-2 NL TPGK hand in multiway pot

there were mixed LAAG, TAG and fish at the 1-2nl table i played last night.
UTG(loose semi-passive) raised to $10, i had :Ac: :Qc: called, MP2 called button called and big blinds (loose passive) called.
    the stacks:
    UTG: $212
    hero: $450
    big blind: $400
    the flop($52) came like:
    :Ah:
big blind checked, UTG checked, i bet $40, button folded but big blind called, UTG folded.
    turn came
big blind checked, i checked behind with the intention of controlling the size of pot(was s this the best play?)
    the river :
the big blind bet $50, hero????

do you guys bet or check on the turn in this situation?

side note: big blind was a very loose guy who played lots of trash, called down with flush or OPESD and piled up lots of chips with lucky hit.

i think checking is fine. please tell me you didn't fold the river.
Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.

dude this is a casino game you basically have the nuts....bet turn and river and rake in a huge profit. You sacrificed a ton of big bets by checking flop and please tell me you did not fold river.

i didn't check on the flop but wanted to make the pot relatively small though in later streets with just one pair hand. As played, i called his river bet and lost to his straight( he had 56).
regardless of the result, the only thing i'm concerned about is whether i should value bet on the turn or just check behind to control the size of the pot ( the pot would be huge on the turn if i made around $60 bet on the turn).Do you guys really have confidence in your one pair hand in big pots?
after reading NO limit theory and practice, i just wanted to apply the concept of pot control to these casino live games.
