    Hi all - just signed up, nice to be part of the forum here, I think I'll learn a lot.

    I started a poker blog on the main blog site for Fairfax Media in New Zealand.

    I work as the Deputy Sports Editor for a newspaper here - have a long background in the media and in sports betting.

    Am a relative noob to the poker world - followed it for a few years and decided to wait til I had enough time to commit to getting involved with the game, so have cut down the amount of time I dedicate to sports betting.

    Hence, my blog is aimed chiefly at new players/rookies and those keen to get started. I don't intend to tell anyone how to play as I'm still feeling my way myself.

    I aim to keep it entertaining, with my tongue firmly in cheek.

    Would appreciate any advice along the way from forum regulars here.

    Good luck mate. I am also from New Zealand and started playing Poker last year but only took it seriously from beginning of this year. I started at $10NL 6-max and play $200NL 5-max now. I even had a blog here which is somewhere down this page. So I am looking forward to read your posts and hope you got over the All Blacks blues yet.

    Cool to hear from another couple of Kiwis, and even an Aussie

    Not too distraught by the ABs result - my biggest sporting passion is Arsenal Football Club, and I also follow NFL as closely as I do rugby....

    My blog is called "Operation "6k for $200NL". Its on this page but for some reason I cannot copy the link at the moment. Very weird. Anyway, the update is that BR is over $7k now but I had a bit of a downswing at $200nl so I dropped down for the moment. [/url]
