Default 3bet OOP Button v Blind

Villain is 22/12 over 120 hands. I haven't made any crazy plays, and neither has he. He has raised several times the last couple of orbits, however. I know nothing about his 3bet calling range.

    Villain: ($173.85 in chips)
    Hero: ($304.40 in chips)

    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to Hero: [? ?]
    3 folds
    Villain: raises $6 to $8
    Hero: raises $18 to $26
    2 folds
    Villain: calls $18

    Hero's 3bet Range: (A-J+/2-2+/K-2s - K-5s)

    *** FLOP *** [Jh 5h 5s]
    Hero:

Given my 3bet range in this situation and without history/notes, what hands are you usually...

    leading the flop with?
    check/folding?
    check/raising?
    check/calling?

Yeah, it's way too wide vs. a 20/12. Something more like AQ+/JJ+ and maybe a couple suited aces or sc's when you're feeling frisky is fine.

With no 3-betting history between you, I c-bet this flop 100%. With history you might start mixing in some c/f's, c/c's or c/r's but that's all player dependent.

I was aware he has a lower PFR, but he had raised several of the previous hands and had the Button. Still, i probably could have taken out some of the smaller pocket pairs.

Actually this leads me to another question: How do you get value from smaller pairs from the Blinds? I feel 3betting them is probably the best way to play them when OOP, but generally villain needs a PFR ~16-18% to make doing so +EV. But against someone like this villain, who has a lower PFR - but not so low that set hunting is the obviously play - do you fold 2-2 - 5-5 PF? (yes i would definitely call an open raise from this same player if i had position or he was opening from UTG/MP)

Back to my OP, with the flop texture so hit/miss i can see why c-betting 100% would be best vs. an opponent without history. Thanks for the feedback zook.

I often just flat-call 22-88ish from the blinds. As long as you can occasionally lead or c/r steal when you don't hit a set it's +ev vs. even loose button raisers.

I like that. What's your point of view on what boards we should be looking for to lead? The dry ones or the scary ones? Do you often b/3b as a bluff?

i dont understand preflop action. who was the mystery 2nd folder after your 3bet, yeah im an anal by pointing this out
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

I c/r more than I lead, but when I do lead, it's the scary flops, b/c I'm trying to rep a set or strong draw that's trying to get it in quickly. I almost never b/3b bluff unless I have a very specific read.

lol there was a limp/fold preflop. I didn't completely eliminate his actions, apparently.
