    Default Bet sizing

I'm sure I underbet every street this hand (though I'm looking at the pot size minus rake on each street, so I'm seeing less than the "full pot" as the pot size when betting). What can we get away with here? I'm not sure if the river 8 helps or hurts. We'd have to call a river raise, I guess. Villain sure isn't acting like he's got anything more than a pair, though (assuming an average 25NL SH player. No reads on villain).

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.10/$0.25

    Stack sizes:
    Hero: $32.90
    CO: $22.30
    Button: $52.85
    SB: $95.10
    BB: $25

    Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with A Q
Hero raises to $1, CO calls, 3 folds.

    Flop: 4 8 7 ($2.35, 2 players)
    Hero bets $2, CO calls.

    Turn: 9 ($6.35, 2 players)
    Hero bets $4, CO calls.

    River: 8 ($14.35, 2 players)
    Hero bets $8, CO calls.

    Final pot: $30.35

Dunno, I guess you could have maybe bet 10-14 on the river, but NH. You got your call from what was probably not even a flush.

your bet sizing is fine. ofcourse we would like to bet full pot on the turn and river also, but we risk blowing villain out of the pot. 2/3 pot sized bets are usually my standard in these spots.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

He had JTo and gutshotted a straight. Hard to believe he didn't raise ANY street along the way, but oh well.

You just have to think of what our opponent may have here.
Obviously the pot on the flop is good, i expect him to call with any pair, some draws, w/e.
The turn 9 is a great card, it gives you the flush but also puts out tons of redraws. I probably bet $5 here but $4 is of course fine, the point is he's calling a lot of his range. The river is absolutely wonderful, the pot is 14 I'd put out $12 for sure, however note if you put $5 out on the turn the pot would now be $16 and $14 would now be the river bet. You've earned an extra $3 and i doubt he folds to the extra few.

River is a great card? Isn't a non board pairing card better?

During this hand, I was actually thinking of the Ah5h hand from your video, ISF (woulda been nice if you were sizing the bets for me, though. And kudos for the vid-- much appreciated). I guess people continue past the flop a lot lighter than I'm used to; that's the nature of SH I suppose. In FR, the only way someone calls the flop in this hand is if they have the straight, a set, 2 pair (and probably only top 2), FD, OESD, and *maybe* top/middle pair (by my nitty way of thinking at least). A gutshot with 2 overs didn't even come to mind. I guess that wasn't at all surprising to an experienced SH player, but it was to me.

The river 8 locked me up as bit as top 2 flop pair just got there and I also have 98 in his range (and it didn't help that just prior to me trying 6max every time the board was paired and I hit a stright or flush on the turn someone had the boat and the money went all-in at the turn). AND it seems that FR players are soooo suspicious that YOU just boated and won't call a really big river bet in this spot without at least a flush. I probably bet $10 in the river without that, even though it wouldn't have made a lick of difference-- he's still calling with whatever he had and I'm still getting stacked to the boat. Mental block.

But I've gotta say-- this 6max venture has been fun. It feels a lot more like a game, at least when I can find a good table with VPIP >30% (instead of the horrible 18%/13% tables) . Some sessions it seems like I'm spending more time scanning the lobby for a playable table than actually playing. I guess those are the times when I should stop playing and try again later.

I do really doubt he had two pair or a set on the turn. The only two pair i would somewhat expect is 98, and you could pretty much tell if he had 98 by how long he took on the turn (he has to consider a raise here). Hands like T8 just hit trips.
