I put him on either a flush draw or KK/QQ. The only FD that kills me is QJs. What can villain put me on to push river? I represented AK all the way.
I tried to push his KK-QQ from the hand and I was planning to fold to a raise on both flop/turn.

Yes, I'd check the turn behind too. Looks very much like a busted flush draw, and I think QJss is a small enough part of his range to make this call.

I had basically this exact pot the other day - one card at the top end of a 4-card straight on the board. The difference was I raised the river, and called an all in push (and yes, he did have the nuts).

After this hand, Pelion was trying to persuade me that my raise on the river with the second nuts was a mistake. I argued otherwise - sets, split pots, idiot end straights, even overpairs and two pairs might call a raise with 3:1 odds (I had to call his river push since I was getting 5:1 or something).

In this instance, the one single hand that beats you is one which should be folding to your PFRR. This is the easiest call ever IMHO.

Is this a serious question? Unless I can't read you have a str8 on the river, the flush draw missed and the board ain't paired. That's right I said "ain't".

I would beat him to the pot.

He's the one w/ AK or Axs.

The way it played he thought he was ahead the whole time and let you do the betting for you until the river. Then it looks like a harmless river and he jams.

    That's exactly what I thought!

Yup, I called the river (I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything). And biondino, like in your hand, villain showed the nuts
Had I checked the turn I might had gotten away from the hand if villain pushed river, or could I? I would have been getting 1.5-1 with the J high straight ...

That sucks and I would never put him on that teh way the hand played. He filled in his gutshot and was completly disguised. Make a note on him to make him pay out the ass next time the board has some draws.
