looking for spots

granted this is a bad spot because of the limped pot/no money. but, i looked again, as i was folding, and wondered if it wasnt the kind of "spot" i frequently dismiss as JUNK.

just wondering if the 2 overs (6outs) + GS (4 outs) + BDFD (1 out) = 10-12 outs is enough to warrant a flop raise. likely he had squat here, too. but, thats 40-48%...if i raise him big, he likely shuts down and we get to the river for free. this guy had been raising the blinds a lot, and minraising at that.

i know the pf call is poor, but i wondered if this flop didnt turn up a hidden gem worthy of defending due to equity alone? i see LAGs do this all the time, and never understand why, but when you count the outs...its not all that bad, is it? ...provided they are clean outs.

if you had position you could be closing the betting for the round and if you are right and they have missed they are then in a spot wondering whether to double barrel with nothing, if they check you could bluff or you could well have hit something.

But when OOP I'm not sure its worth it even if you are right.

In addition, its a tiny pot why fight over it and your hand is not that great to pick a fight with, (5 clean outs).

Pot is not large enough to fight over IMO, I might even call the flop bet.

Don't 3-bet this pre; we just want to see a cheap flop. Just check/fold the flop because there is little to fight for.

sure, i get the bet/fold flop line. and that is what makes sense in a weak pot like this.

but, is this a good spot, outs wise, for consideration in a bigger pot.

all i'm concerned about is what a LAG sees when he decides to fight hard. we all know they play premiums hard or really, really soft. its this stuff i'm trying to get better at "reading" from them. is this a green light from a LAG?
