    Default Somewhat interesting river.

Never played with this guy before, but he seems competent based on his bet sizing and stuff like that. I opted to just call preflop from the big blind with A-K suited to under represent my hand a bit, then I get one of my worst flops, but it gets checked through. I get another free card and hit the nut straight on the river, what is my best play? His hand looks like one that could easily contain a K, so it seems unlikely I'd bluff here from his perspective, and I'm certainly never calling a raise without one, so he has an easy fold without a K, and there's a good chance he doesn't even raise with one, but if I check, he will certainly make a "fake" bluff that I can raise. There's also a good chance he bets whenever he plays the board. What's best?

There is litte value in such deception at the limits we play since we can gain more value by playing our hand correctly and having our opponents make large and costly technical mistakes. So i would 3bet preflop.

As played i think you should bet pot on the river, and 3bet/shove if raised.

Yeah. Most of these people are idiots, but I sometimes like to mix-up my plays even if I know my opponents aren't paying attention. It might be costly in the short run, but I at least avoid developing exploitable habits. I'm mostly just trying to have fun in these games, so I don't mind too much.

Bet $20. If you don't have a read 3-bet preflop because you have the best hand.

    I'll end thread right now.

No one in their right mind is not going to raise King, therefore we don't have to worry about losing value versus it because we obviously just shove overbet over his raise. We want to get value from hands that just call for a split so we bet 5 or 6.

he almost never has anything here so I'd just check really really quickly and hope he bets
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?
