    Default Hand help

    How's it going y'all?

I have a question about whether or not to shut down with an overpair on a flop and turn that double-pairs (ex 5656) playing micro limits. Consider this: you raise preflop with AA or KK, bet the flop (565) and get called. The turn double pairs the board (5656). Do you continue betting? Check/Call?

Also, how does this decision change as you move up limits?

    Thanks!

Unless they have you pegged as only raising something like AA/KK preflop, then people (as they should) will easily call the flop with 77-QQ. You will also be called with hands like 78 or 89 (cause people like their gutshots). So, I would not shutdown at all on that board without a read telling me otherwise. Even at 200NL ring.

As over used as it is, this question is too read dependant to be answered properly.

The answer of course is Yes you should and No you shouldn't depending on the tendencies of your opponents.

Some people will bet this every single time that you check it to them on the turn because you are obviously afraid, find out who they are and start check raising them!

    Thanks for the replies.

Would having best position vs. first to act have any bearing on the decision to continue?
