I really don't like hand 2. You flat call out of the BB so he probably doesn't put you on a big pair. you check-raise the flop, then shut down on the turn. how often have you been check raised and then had the person check the turn to you and seen them show up with a hand they want to showdown?

I think given the way the hand played out, he can do this with a whole lot of weak overpairs here. especially given that he is a 21/16.

Hand 3 any read would help. does he try and take pots where it looks like you have missed overs, or does he just play solid value postflop?

He has 2 hands that outflopped you, with 4 possible ways to make them. If he thinks at all, he will realize that you either have overcards that are not going to like that flop, or an overpair that may not like a lot of action. Either way, are a lot of 13/4 tags raising this flop with a boat/quads? more importantly, is this guy? does he tip his hand too early?

The more I think about it, the more I think he can do this with too many hands that you have crushed, and isn't likely to do it with the couple that have you crushed. He has position on an early position raiser who has lead into a low flop. why try and blow out a hand that has at most 2 outs to improve if you've got a boat. let you bet the turn and commit yourself.

If he is raising to protect his hand, then there are a lot that you beat, and still only a few that are ahead of you. I would probably CR the turn AI and lose to AA (I take overpairs too far, so take this for what you want)

WOW. You are an uber nit.

    Hand 1
I probably look to get it all in, he's very agressive.

    Hand 2
    I 3-bet pre, as played, I probably c/f or b/f the turn.

    Hand 3
I don't see what he can be repping, 22/44/A2 all unlikey as they would not play the flop like this. Repping a thin range so more likely to be a bluff/smaller over pair. I think I c/c this down.

    Hand 4
I probably find a river fold. If you're willing to c/call a low river card why not a stick it in on the turn? It's eaither a WA or WB situation.

    Hand 5
Tricky, probably b/f the turn is better.

Looking back at these I feel like a nit but the most common line at this level with a set is c/r flop, bomb turn, bomb river. Its like the board texture doesnt even matter to these guys. I have lost sooo much lately overplaying my big pairs in spots just like these.

Another increasingly common line that Im seeing at these levels is to flat call EP raises with AA and check raise any flop, bomb turn, bomb river.

Its so gross to be check calling for my whole stack with one pair all the time. Maybee its just variance messing with me, I dont know.

Ill post some more after todays sessions, appreciate the replies.

Holy Jebus some of these are preeeeeetty bad. Don't let my opinion hurt you, only help.

    1. Very few players' range is QQ 77 33 exclusively. An 18/13/6 is likely one of the better players here, and only if he knows you're ubernit will he not have a queen or a PP.

    2. You folded the best hand. As played you gotta at least crai turn. He's raising a lot of PPs UTG.

    3. I'm in love with this flop. I'm trying to decide which line is best for getting it in. Only problem is that villian is a super nit (not tag) and may have KK AA in his range. So maybe some discretion is good.

    4. I'm 3betting flop since I really wanna felt without there being an overcard.

    5. I'm not justifying a float/giving it to a moron with a king by folding turn.

I used to play overpairs really weakly too. I recommend dropping to at least 50nl and figuring some shit out. 25nl would probably be best since you can try new stuff much easier when way overrolled as well as there's a hyoooooge increase in skill from 25nl to 50nl. You can play like shit at 25nl and still roll out a couple bbs/100

Here's a good example of how big overpairs are sometimes the nuts even when it doesn't look like it.

Villian is 16/7, and most 16/7s are donkeys.

    saw flop|saw showdown

    Button ($182.55)
    SB ($38)
    BB ($188)
    UTG ($220.05)
    Hero ($204.95)
    MP1 ($188)
    MP2 ($112.05)
    MP3 ($180)
    CO ($40)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q, Q.
    1 fold, Hero raises to $9, 2 folds, MP3 calls $9, 4 folds.

    Flop: ($21) 7, 7, 3 (2 players)
    Hero bets $15, MP3 calls $15.

    Turn: ($51) 2 (2 players)
    Hero bets $35, MP3 raises to $105, Hero raises to $215.95 (All-In), MP3 calls $51 (All-In).

    River: ($363) 5 (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: $363

    Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Qc (two pair, queens and sevens).
MP3 has 9d 9s (two pair, nines and sevens).
    Outcome: Hero wins $422.95.

Realizing that poor/semi-decent players think pretty much any overpair is pretty much the nuts was a big step for my bankroll.
