    Default common situation

so whenever i get a big pair like JJ+, i always raise preflop and definitely any underflop. maybe even a flop with only one over to my pair. anyways, not my question. obv i want to deny odds to play to draw me out. so when the entire board is all unders to my pair, by the river, the pot is a bit larger than i want it to be. big pots are for big hands. and at 5NL overpairs seem to be good *most* of the time. however this probably won't always be the case as i move up in limits, as i see many struggling with AA hands. so i'm curious how i could play these types of hands better (keep the pot smaller) yet still maintain control of the hand? for instance:

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (7 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($10.84)
    SB ($6.41)
    BB ($8.09)
    Hero ($8)
    MP1 ($2.83)
    MP2 ($4.08)
    CO ($8.50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, J. MP2 posts a blind of $0.07.
Hero raises to $0.25, 1 fold, MP2 (poster) calls $0.20, CO calls $0.25, 3 folds.

    Flop: ($0.84) T, 7, 4 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.7, MP2 folds, CO calls $0.70.

    Turn: ($2.24) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, CO calls $2.

    River: ($6.24) 4 (2 players)
    Hero checks, CO checks.

    Final Pot: $6.24

i was intending on c/c the river depending on his bet size.
i'm sure this post is probably pretty broad but...
also comments on hand even though i think i played it well.

btw i folded QQ preflop twice tonight. i would have been up against both KK AND AA both times! that is so sick.

I would value-town the river because I don't take calls from posters very seriously.

Sometimes I check the flop, but it can put you into difficult spots unless you know your player. Monkey checked to, monkey bet is something I've been playing with a lot but it's playing with fire.

Not so hard, so many people are so passive and predicatable when our mind is calm. So many players have a 3-bet range something like QQ+/AK.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.
