Default 50NL overpair vs. two shorties

I am new to the table but have a read that bigfatpauly is pretty tight. He played a hand with AQ by calling a raise in the blinds, check calling on an AKx board, check turn and bet less than half pot on river and call a big raise

I'd be calling if this were heads up but since it isn't and your read is that big fat Paulie is super tight then this is an auto muck.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I would fist pump this too. And pauly doesn't sound that good.

instamuck. What is a "pretty tight" player limp/calling pre and calling AI on the flop with besides a set?
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

It's tough to make a solid read on a player from how he played one hand. I've labelled players as "tight" based on one hand and then later realized they were LAGTARDS after playing with them for a while. There a quite a few players who play TP+ hands very passively and all draws/air very aggressively. As such, I play this hand std until I have a solid read and that means Overpair = Nutz, flush draw on board....so call.

How do you consider this situation?

    1) If 2 players go all in, it's much more likely a set is involved, which destroys your equity. Thus against 2 players all in like this, your pot odds/equity ratio is much lower than calling a heads up all in.

2)They are short stacks and probably donks and you are getting 4:1 if I am doing my math correctly. The all in from the second unknown short stack makes me want to call more, since he's likely to suck.

Yeah these spots make me sick, but as you only have to call what 18$ to win 62$ you only need 27% equity. (Which is what you have even if
    one of them has 2pr.)

There are 9 combos of sets out there but alot more flush draws, also 78, A9 and maybe worse.
(& you still have 10.7% equity vs set in this spot)

So I call, but its close
Currently thinking of a new quote/signature... Some sort of prayer to the Poker gods for enlightment etc..

You'll run into sets alot here but not often enough to make it a fold imo.

Your description of Pauly doesn't actually give you any reads of him other than he's passive & probably not that good + he's shortstack. He could just as easily be a loose passive calling station as a tight player (who'd only call shove with set.)

Had the action gone you c-bet, charlotte calls and pauly shoves I would fold - he's definitely passive from showndown hand.

But from the way the action went, I think it would be a mistake to fold your overpair in a big pot after you've already cbet on a draw heavy flop vs two 50 bb stacks getting nearly 4-1 on your call.
