50NL: Line check

    Default 50NL: Line check

    Villain 44/8/1.2 over 25 hands.

My thinking on the river was if he was chasing a draw, he wouldn't call a bet. I didn't wanna deal with a push over either in case he was slowplaying. Too cautious vs this stationey villain?

Too small a sample to base action just on stats, vs this basically unkown I check thru too.

If he´s a true station tho you´re losing too much value by checking behind, a c/r on the river after he took this weakish line is so unlikely that we must go for $18 - $20

So if villain had those stats over 100 you'd bet the river also for value?

Interesting...I swear I always get burned in those spots by stations slowplaying AJ+ ...probably just me being too results oriented.

    Here's another one -- villain is 12/8/2.5 over 100.

I really had him on TT-QQ, and figured that he'd give up to any aggression. I figured if he had AQ/AJ We'd get it in eventually, so I figured I'd get most value in letting him be aggressive. Standard in a 3-bet pot with this kind of flop/villain?

hey, dozer. I feel your pain really in hand 1.
Sometimes we really feel stupid when loose passive guys show down better hands. WTF, look my hand here I believe that most of us would make a river value bet.
villain is 50/6.3/0.4 over 40 hands, loose calling stations based on my table reads.

Been there pokerfan...all too many times.

I think the A9/AT as top pair situation is a little dodgy vs stations because assume they play any ace basically the same (passively) when hitting the ace, then we're only ahead of A2-A8, which is 7 hands. Now when there's 2 rags on the board, that's only 5-6 hands we're ahead of, and 5-6 or so we're behind, making it neutral EV to value bet the river?

Kinda over-simplified analysis, but intuitively I only feel like I'm ahead about half the time here with A9/AT.

This time villain flips A5o and I think "why didn't I value bet the river", but then am reminded of all the times villain flips Ax 2pr, AJ+ etc.

I'm still unsure as to the correct play. I never feel good with top pair OK kicker, even vs stations ... maybe too results-oriented

Yeah I probably go broke there with that hand vs that villain... He basically did - $40 left in his stack? I would have just pushed the river with the pot as big as it was.
